Moved to Park Slope in '74; joined the coop in about '78 -- still love both and I've lived in Bed-Stuy; Bellerose, Queens; E. Village; Carroll Gardens; Williamsburg, and Greenpoint before I found P.S. My wife and I both expect to live here for the rest of our lives. Re: picking up clothes, etc. on the street -- the gate discount! We heard about a grandmother who was pissed off that her grandchildren were learning from our neighborhood that everything is free.

I live in Park Slope and I did as a kid, honestly I know that there are a lot of yuppies but a lot of the people I know aren't, and I went to 321. But then again maybe I'm a yuppy and I don't know it, oh god, my life is a lie, nooooooooooooo!!!

When I lived in the Slope, I always took free books CDs and cassettes and I also found a Panasonic TV set circa manufactured circa 1977 (that still works with a converter box that changes the digital signal to analog), an antique desk from the 1920s, and some record players. But I'd never take kitchen appliances like a waffle iron.

I live in the Slope but I'm mired in poverty so thanks for satisfying my curiosity about how the rest of you folks live. Thanks to Rent Stabilization I get to be your neighbor 4 now & in my eavesdropping I can confirm more than half of what is said here. LOL @ the stroller shots & "Why do I even have a fucking car?!" How about: "Married men are disgusting." "I have the best tutor for English if you ever decide that, you know, Caitlin really needs it." "What should Mommy get for dinner tonight?"

I lived in Park Slope from ages 2 through 11 and then 19 through 35. I was priced out at that point and now Yes...This film depicts the majority of Slopers. Yes, the restaurants and bars are good. Yes, the neighborhood is still architecturally beautiful but the people leave a Lot to be desired as do the Prices. I have been living ten minutes away from Park Slope for the past 16 years and am perfectly Happy at having left the Pretentious Attitudes Behind.

I'm from Astoria, Queens. I remember my mom yelling at me and my sister to stop jumping up and down because of the downstairs neighbors. Except for the part about finding a new apartment and that school district crap. They were firm believers of the "you can learn anywhere if you really wanted to" approach.

I live in Park Slope. I grew up here. And my friends know these parents. I went to 321 when I was little and the food coup still scares the shit out of me. When I was little I found a bowling ball and a vacume outside on the side walk and I always left them on other people's stoops as practical jokes with notes. My mom goes to Yoga and this is actually like my life. But hey its my Neighborhood HAHAHA!

Although I feel the hate from non park slopers, I loved growing up there. Not everyone is part of the co-op (i know kill me right?) and there is a great difference between the new rich parents who are living here versus the middle aged parents who are quick frankly just old....and jewish. Would have loved to see a scene at two boots or bareburger where there are parking spots for the massive amounts of strollers. Great video

Kostner: "You always ask about the white people. You always want to know how many more are coming. There will be a lot, my friend. More than can be counted." Kicking Bird (DJGengar): "How many?" Koster: "Like the stars." Enjoy your life in Windsor Terrace while you can, but you should probably start scoping out a Cape Cod in Levittown while interest rates are low, b/c that's where your headed. Just like your forefathers. It's like your Oklahoma.
