I'm in Italy to spec my dream Pagani Utopia! Join me in San Cesario Sul Panaro to explore the new model, Pagani's 3rd car and a full visit. We start with the Atelier, where customer cars are in assembly, to then having a run through of the options on my perfect spec for a Pagani Utopia!
Launched a little over a year ago, Utopia follows in big footsteps after Zonda and Huayra, and does it with great effect. Thanks to the owner, we're lucky to be able to take a look at the very first customer example which was delivered almost exactly 1 year after the introduction and now returns for a service. However, the production is in full swing with numerous cars in build and an amazing opportunity to take a look at the expert and detailed work of the Pagani team.
However, today, I'm excited to be able to discover the Pagani Configuration Department and work on a spec for my very own dream Utopia, a car that literally in its name represent a place of which we dream! Joined by Chiara, from the team responsible for these amazing cars, we can work through some of the different options to showcase what is possible, and only touch on the surface of producing a totally bespoke work of art on wheels.
A special thank you to Pagani for the opportunity to share with you this look at the assembly and latest updates, plus take part in the customer journey experience to share with you something I can confidently say that we all dream about!

@@AmarjitSinghDhesi I'm not sure I would put Bugatti above Pagani, as far as pure design and craftmanship is concerned. Certainly, Bugatti is one of the best, but I'd personally rate them at or slightly below Pagani. This is coming from someone who has visited Pagani's factory and seen how they build their cars. Their assembly hall is truly remarkable, and if you ever have the chance to tour it, I'd highly recommend doing so.

I gotta tell you Tim! A Pagani in your possession just raises your level of car collecting status for real. Besides the style and build quality of Pagani. They have the feel of the more visceral vehicle connecting you to the road. Great luck with this, I hope it actually shows up in the Shmuseum..

Personal opinion: The car lends itself to a steampunk-ish approach!! When you were presenting it, lots of little lamps (or similar) are reflected all over the edges of the car from the ceiling. That reminded me of full metal rivets! The combination of flowing form, carbon fiber, leather, all riveted together with f.e. copper rivets, would actually look good! Pagani is an absolute master of his craft! The products, details and company are incredible! Entertaining & interesting as always! Best wishes

I love the design,my only gripe is that it's not as vocal like the Zonda is. it's the sound of the Zonda that made me fall in love with the brand.

Yes I love all of their cars. But my favorite road car will always be the Zonda F because that sound is perfection. The newer Zondas too like the Cinque and 760. My greatest disappointment with the Huyara and later is that they don't sound like Zondas, but they could. Because we can clearly hear the Huyara R which sounds like a Tie fighter and a Zonda had a baby.

My dream spec would be a deep burgundy paint, brown interior and bronze trim. I hope you can get yours one day. You must have an eidetic memory since you never appear to be reading off a teleprompter. I love automotiveKZfaq videos and yours are the most professional, thought out, and respectful. No Pagani coming to the garage. Just a demo of what it’s like to spec one. No way he can afford a Utopia without sacrificing half of his garage.

He's not having that actually built. He's not buying it. He just had them do it on their configurator. Of the 99 ORIGINALS they're $2.5 million. Now with these special order CUSTOMS that are being ordered by say the likes of the Mark Zuckerbergs or Mark Cubans (& just think of all the super billionaires from China, Saudi Arabia, Australia, all of Europe let alone this country) of the world, these special orders are AT LEAST double the price. Same went with the Zonda & Huera. Pagani sold 6 times more special order Zondas than originals. About the same with Huera. That's how he built his Utopian palace headquarters & his marketing for the Utopia was so masterful that he's already eclipsed that by 2fold. And this is just the 1st years of the Utopia! It was like 8 years of Zonda to barely quintuple the original sales. He's doubled that special order selling in a year!I bet theres at least 1 NBA player on each of the 32 teams who's got a special order coming & prolly 3 times that of retired NBA players. Lol. Then there's the MLB, NFL, NHL & FIFA The man is a modern genius. A master car designer, builder, musician & salesman along with marketing genius. When he worked for Lamborghini, he tried to push them to directly market/appeal to the richest people in the world. Lamborghini didn't think it was necessary. What's that result? Lamborghini went through 6 more bankruptcies & went from Asian to now German owners while Pagani is still the boss & just look at his Utopian car design & build palace. What fools they were at Lamborghini for basically telling him, "no thanks Horatio. We don't need to do that. If u feel so strongly about it, start your own car company" And the rest is history. Godspeed to Horatio & all of them fortunate enough to work for him. And to all those who lucky enough to buy one or two I say maybe someday. It's Utopia people. I can still dream can't I? 🙂

Personally, i think the Utopia still needs the old-school Pagani headlights. That one piece of glass covering the lights just looks a bit off. Other than that, the Utopia is just beautiful 👌

Okay so then it would just be pretty much the same car again? It’s exactly those changes which make for the revolutionary design of the utopia which I hope will set a trend for retro modern car design. I feel like the design of the utopia is very much misunderstood.

@gijsdegroot7602 or you just misunderstood a simple preference. I still stand by what I said. I think that piece of glass looks a bit off. I still prefer the Huayra's or Zonda's style. If the Uotopias headlights were in that style, i think it would look even nicer, but if these ones were separated and still glass covered, that would be a nice blend of both styles.

With every brand like Lamborghini, meecedeces, Ferraris, ,McLaren etc it's so clique and easy to call these super $$$ works of art, but I have to say, pagani has each of them beat. Perhaps the closest is Christians brand is the next closest. The level of detail, hit, and finish to every part is Swiss watch level. The level of detail is even down to the bespoke screws and bolts with pagani branding. Would love to see one of these in your collection Tim one day. Expensive, yes. But this is on a whole another level. Each one of these limited works of art will only go up in value . Excellent investment!

Those "pieces of equipment" may have Pagani paint & name but they didn't design them. They are vacuum heat treating furnaces you pick from a catalog or web site. They cost around a million give or take depending on several options.

Some people probably call Utopia boring compare to other Paganis like Zonda & Huayra, but for me and some other people, it's just right yet still beautiful. It's not overdone, not even edgy & absolutely a comfort hypercar. Also, Pagani really is obsessed with carbon fiber especially on the floors (as Shmee mentioned in that video) & also tables. Damn!

Pagani is at the top of my list of all the exotic vehicles. I've been a passenger in that actual yellow Zonda S you are standing next to @ 9:30. It was on display at the International Motor Show in Melbourne Aust. around 20 years ago. I got first hand experience with it at the air freight logistics company in Tullamarine before it was prepared to be on-forwarded to the next international venue. It was a running vehicle at the time & I was gob smacked at the sound of it's AMG V12. The Zonda S looks it's age now though next to the later Pagani models.

Back in the 60's hundreds of workers made the E type nowadays only a few people create modern hypercars. If I was rich enough a Pagani or T50 Gordon Murray
