That is a super versatile pedal. I like how you demonstrated all the total variations you can get the ability to be able to cut the highs super handy. Especially on a guitar as bright as a Tele maybe going into a twin. I can see how that would be very handy in a studio situation or live for that matter. Great job as always!

Expressive intuitive sounding unit. I am glad to see it coming from Roman! It has something in the compression/ EQ Section that separates it from others .

Hey Shawn. Very few people do videos as well as you. You don’t randomly turn dials. You show us how each pedal can be used to get good sounds, so we know if it is what we want/need. Your playing is outstanding, but you are mature enough to only use it to demonstrate the equipment, not to distract everyone. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic overview of the Daily Driver. I grabbed one right after it was first released just a few months ago. Shawn uses the term “open” a couple of times... it’s exactly that and in a way that is, IMO, unique. Super versatile, great clipping character and overall tones, and straightforward controls and design. Yes, it’s pricey, but it checks so many boxes for me that it was worth it. Shawn, thanks for showing what more I have yet to discover in this pedal and for doing so in such a concise and effective way (not to mention your incredible playing!). And I dig the SCAD hat, by the way... awesome school!

Shawn Tubbs I’ve heard such great things about SCAD for close to 20 years and have seen kids that I’ve worked with in high school go on to find great success at SCAD. The school seems to really foster creativity and artistry while also providing such a solid education in areas involving technical skills development, business and finance, entrepreneurship, and marketing. (I think) you do great demos. You and Andy. If I want to truly learn what I may purchase, I check to see if you've reviewed…your editorial comments come across as genuine, spontaneous, etc. Great other example is the Hampstead zenith. Tx!

How did I miss this? I really like the way this pedal can keep all the articulation of the clean tone at the lowest settings , but go up to the gain used on "Cold Heart Bitch" by Jet. This makes it an excellent stack option. Shawn uses all 12 notes amazingly - I mean he's alright...lol. I really should be stealing way more licks off of youtube!

Wow I found you at last! Amazes me everytime on youtube there is always someone good I've not heard about. Love your style of playing. I've been studying early Gary Moore since the 70's and your style does remind me of his technique. But what you are showing me is that you can get great playing by shaping the sound of the strings giving them different voiceings. Anyway love it!! and subbed. Is that the 2019 Gibson 1950 Les Paul your playing? As I'm going to get one and need to know how easy is the neck to play fast runs on? It was the 1950 or 1960 I'm going for But yours sounds great. Great Driver

Hi Shawn, thanks for the always awesome demo. The pedal sounds stellar! When fed with a low-noise guitar signal, does this pedal retain a quiet hiss/hum background noise-floor when the Gain knob is maxed?

Thanks very much! I found the noise floor to be really good with this pedal. With the gain all the way up, you will certainly hear some "hiss" but it's very reasonable.

Hey Shawn! The bass sounded really good in the backing track at the start of the video! Do you record it yourselves? If that’s the case, do you mind telling me what kind of bass you play? And how do you record it? Thanks!

Thanks very much. I'm not much of a bass player so I need all of the help I can get. My bass is a MIM Fender Jazz bass with stock pickups. I record it direct into ProTools and then use an 1176 style plugin comp and a Sansamp plugin to even and fatten things up.

TUBBS, which pedal clone is like the eric Johnson tube driver pedal because Dover drive uses FETS but sounds very close to the tube driver. I'm not sure if there is an other types of clone that get close to the tube driver?

There aren't to many pedals out there that do the BK Butler thing. I know Hermida did one as well as Chandler but they're a bit rare.

@@ShawnTubbs they are $400 dollars now. I'm surprised no one has come out with another version or clone of it by now because they sound amazing and only pedal that can get those EJ violin type tones. Do you know any other pedals that can get those EJ violin tones?

Hey Shawn! I've been getting into country. Can you share the pickups and most importantly the speakers you used with Carrie Underwood?

I didn't really have a lot of "country" style guitars when I played with CU and on the Storyteller tour, I used Fractal. The only guitar I used with CU that was more suited for country was my Suhr Classic Tele with the stock Suhr pickups in it. Speaker wise I pretty much use Celestion V30's.

@@ShawnTubbs Thank you Shawn! Thinking of a warehouse ET65 or Blackhawk. Currently for rock I have scumbacks M75PVC and they sound big and full especially in my Port City OS 2X12 for rock, but not for country.

Inside Out I use an ET 65 in my Port City 1X12 OS with a Matchless HC 30. Great speaker!

When you say a great speaker, can give comparison to other speakers what it sounds like or give a breakdown in details, saying a great speaker means nothing to me, but if you could describe it in details would be a big help? Also, saw Tom Bukovac's video where he showed the green revv you sent....beautiful gesture and killed it with the logo on the bottom. The way Tom told the story was real hearty as well!!

The Butler has a different mid character to it and feels more compressed. Both good pedals.

So you're a mind reader or something? Such an uneducated comment. I think Fender makes a really great guitar but I connected my Suhr because it just felt right. The name on the headstock really had nothing to do with it.

I was thinking the same thing. It sounds just like my Timmy that was a lot less and the Vapor Ray (Jan Ray clone) I built myself, for considerably less.
