I think it’s a odd balance he’s looking for. Three out and out CB with good technical ability but more importantly aggressiveness and imposing that can be rotated for all four competitions without dropoff in quality. Also you have three big FB in White, Tomi and Kiwior that also play at CB and two smaller quicker FB in Timber and Zinny. Giving you 8 players that can be plug and played in many positions and with a variety of tactics for an expanding games schedule moving forward into the future. The price of players don't determine if he's going to be a starter or not because there are so many games in a season, there's always going to be an opportunity for you to play. If he's the real deal he could easily take 15-20 games a season off of Gabriel, saliba, and white - Fa Cup, Champions league group stage, Carabao, and Lower in the table prem sides. Arteta may also fear a bid from Madrid or munich in the next few years for Saliba if we aren't winning trophies.
