I got the diesel manual...in the city I get 15-16kmpl and 18 kmpl on the highway. But then I drive around 80-90kmph. Average was calculated tank full to tank full.

@@Dinesh-js6fw Yup. I was surprised too. But then I'm a slow driver. No hard pick ups, no high speed chases and I drive 25 kms one way to work. Though there is no mad bumper to bumper traffic, there are around 22 traffic signals in between. The Ac is however always on.

Always reset mileage after you start the highway run, be gentle and light foot on the accelerator. Keep the accelerator foot on & off and use the momentum built. But Mahindra engines are always performance oriented.

Your suggestion is god level. I have felt the same for momentum building. Soft on gas.padle is habit that increases the mileage significantly.
