1. Identify the trap that you are currently in and FREE yourself from it. 2. You are NOT the problem, just rise above it and break the chains of slavish thoughts. 3. Don't be silent, speak up. Explore answers. Ask questions and find answers. 4. Believe you are special and step out to help others to discover a NEW self. 5. Use your setbacks as guide to improve yourself and make each day better than yesterday. Many thanks to Rabbi Jacobson for the powerful message. God bless.

My best friend of 42 years died today at the age of 59. She had kept me sane during this very trying time with my husband, who is dying of cancer. I feel so overwhelmed that I can barely breathe. Transcendance seems like an illusion right now. Pain is physiological, but suffering is a whole new ballgame. How much suffering must one endure in this lifetime?

My mom died a few months ago. I took care of her until the very end - 3 months of slow dying. A month later, my closest friend entered hospice; don’t know how much time she has. My other friends have life-threatening illnesses. When I was going through those last months with my mom, it was beyond horrible. I prayed like I’ve never prayed before. I prayed to be able to sleep so I can take care of my mom. I prayed to be healthy so I could take care of her. I prayed for strength nonstop. I kept telling myself to rise to the occasion. I made it. It is still very hard with her gone, but I made it. Before that, I went through years and years of hard times. I understood that there are phases in our life that are truly of Biblical proportions, where the hardship just goes on and on. But there always is an end. And a new life begins. Pray for strength and keep going. May God bless you, take care of you, establish peace in your mind. ❤

I struggle with the same issue, but am much much much younger, in the first quarter of life, and I have to learn to forgive them, otherwise, why should Jesus forgive me? People go to hell for forgiveness they say, because the greatest gift of all that we for now see, is forgiveness, so that we are ABLE to have a relationship, with God, the Father, through acquisition or occurence of the testimony of obedience we attain through trust and forgiveness and turning from the old self, through Jesus and what he did for us on the cross, making us into a new creation. Through this, I would simplify things by saying, we show appreciation for what God has done for us, by honoring the sacrifice of the Father who loved the world so, THAT the Father gave his only begotten son that we may have A RELATIONSHIP with him, through Jesus Christ. At least this is my current way of viewing things.

I was excited to listen to this based on the title. As a teacher, I believe it is important to give a basis & foundation for the instruction given. I am at 19 min of this vid & noticed the bible hasn't been used yet. This seems more like a self help type of vid. I didn't find anything profound here but do agree the principles are good. If the title has Bible in it, it's best to have the bible and scriptures leading the way for the message. Blessings to all here and may The Holy Spirit provide knowledge & wisdom to who ask & seek.

Thank you. Ashira Ladonai Ki ga'oh ga'ah, Sus verochvo Ramah bayam. I don't know if the language is correct, but when I was a little girl I was attracted by the story of Moses and the Passover, in some way I was positively "obsessed". I didn't know why. I could not talk with my parents because of their atheism. Through books for children and films I was so happy to see liberation and feel it inside me. I wasn't religious or spiritual but this story had an enormous impact on me. I didn't know why, til I started to read the Bible a few years ago because of a series of signs in my life and after e spiritual research that was no good for me. The signs I saw were concrete, signs in my surroundings and in me, especially numbers. Isolated words in my head that "Jumped" in my conscious living. I started to read the Bibie "secretly", like it was a secret. I started to ask help in secret. Just me and this book. Initially I was scared but it was necessary. I didn't know how to deal with all these signs, I was more than scared.I was frightened. There were everywhere. The number I saw in every corner of my surroundings and in me was 54, and 23. I opened the Bible two times full of fear of the unknown, and I met Isaiah. Isaiah 54 e The psalm 23. I started crying. I cried and cried and cried. Today... I deal with al my traumas. But I know Tham I'm not alone. Thank you Rabbi. Thank you. You also are a sign, I'm in the middle of a passover and mental issues because of that, I asked God to help me, God is a friend... and I met you. Like Isah a few years ago. I do not have a mentor. I have God, the signs of God. I have a good doctor that helps me with right medicals. And finally I can express just here what I didn't express for years and years of internal solitude, rebellions because of social and political cruelties, deep internal isolation, pretending with my dearest ones in silence, solitary research because of my fears to be rejected, misunderstood, fear to sing with my own voice. This is right now my first time. I'm sorry because my English language is not so correct. But I wanted to write, finally, I wanted to express myself after listening to your wise and tender words. Thank you, from my heart and Soul. Thank you.

I have been through a lot of hardships over the past years, and found little t o no help, but what bothered me the most was the attitude most have towards me. you have taken a weight out of me. i always felt that if i talked i would get stuff out and not obsesses over things, as those around me wanted. as you pointed out i have been repeatedly shut down, told to be silent and i was denied any form of release. thankfully as a believer i was channeled to other sources of release, like your videos. you have no idea how comforting is to as bad it might sound know others are at wrong and that is not me. but the most important thing you mention i think applies. i have always acted thinking about other over myself, and i feel that is what makes them act the way they do towards me.

Peace in my life has become very important to me. I have been isolating not knowing what the next step to take is. If someone really cannot find someone to talk to about their trauma/pain, studies show that the best alternative is to write it down. This can be done in a journal or elsewhere. You can throw the writing away, you don’t have to keep it or read it over; the purpose is to do the action of writing. This allows your mind to get perspective and step slightly away from the pain, in order to form sentences and write about your feelings and experience. It is truly one of the best ways that has been found, aside from talking about it to a skilled listener who can validate your feelings. It doesn’t have to be a long bit of writing; a page or two will do. Just be sure to write about how you feel, as well as what happened. Be sure to do this step well and thoroughly before attempting transcendence. “Getting beyond it” requires that you don’t suppress your feelings, but be sure to express and feel seen/heard; otherwise, trying to transcend will be avoidance, which won’t actually work. I love this emphasis on the purity of every soul, and the recognition that we can identify with healing instead of with being wounded. (This is the opposite of the idea of original sin. Please know that original sin is not a Jewish idea. It is not biblical; Adam and Eve sinned, and humans are born into a world with challenges; but our souls are not “fallen”; we have the capacity to choose good, as we read in Genesis. In Judaism, God gives every person a pure soul, and although we sometimes make mistakes or go astray, we can always remember that ultimately, we are made in the image and likeness of God, as it also says in Genesis.)

I wish I could do this ritual. I wish my husband would take the lead. Perhaps next year. 🤲 For now, I will honor the time with prayers and communion with HaShem about the Exodus and Passover. Thank you Rabbi. ✨

@@the8thchurch461 I do. However, I can still hope my husband would. It’s supposed to be a family event. He doesn’t participate in anything. SMH!?! at me!? Judgement!? I forgive you. Shalom.

@@tinaheald The biggest cheerleaders of the woman hating patriarchy are women. You couldn't make this up. Anyway, each to their own. I do not believe in any deity for that reason.

Thank you rabbi. I was brought up catholic, but a strange thing, for a while I had some doubts and I have been praying to our God, the only God and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I don’t want to deviate from our true and only God. I really appreciate your wisdom. I love the teachings of Jesus. I don’t think he ever intended to create a new religion, just wanted to teach us love and wisdom. I think somewhere and with time his message was changed.

This is such a helpful and insightful lecture. I would just say that really there is no such thing as two people having the same experience, because everyone is born with their unique personality and abilities,. and then influenced by their unique upbringing, thus they experience similar events differently from another person.

Thank you every much Rabbi. I haven't had love as a kid and the creator has driven me through amazing experiences. I've travelled and met so many people in my life going through some adversity which has resulted in me transcending and adapting to any environment. I really feel like I'm a spirit moving thru space and time with a meaningful purpose. I truely relate to everything you explained. It somehow comes naturally for me. Not everything but most and I appreciate and try to adopt what I don't know yet. Thank you 👍
