And they took like $400 every week for insurance - that’s equal to = $1700 a month or almost $20k a year that’s insane

I've heard nothing but good things on Uber covering...but that doesn't mean there aren't issues. Im happy with Allstate who does cover for that period that Uber does not cover. So let's make a positive video with solution. :)

If you only paid 10,000 for the car that you have and you use it for rideshare, do you wanna have the maximum $2500 deductible it makes a lot of sense your coverage is only gonna be $50 a month. Each state is different if you own your own vehicle, you’re not gonna pay much for insurance.

Uber's deductible is $2,500 per accident. You have to pay $2,500 before they will pay to fix your car. And your personal insurance covers nothing.

And Ubers insurance which is liberty mutual puts a claim on your personal insurance so as to see if your vehicles insurance is 25k or more on collision which is also one of the requirements and that sends a red flag to your personal insurance which will then have the underwriter of your personal insurance contacting you about why you’re using the vehicle for business, making your personal insurance policy cost more

I did Uber eats for almost half a year without insurance at all while homeless, the 3 months I finally had insurance again I wrecked and totaled my car but thankfully it paid off the 15k loan at 23% I took out on it in the first place, truly lucky

I think it is that way all over the country. But they do not do it all the time. They are just making it harder to sue them because it is a challenge to keep track of when they pay as low as 25% or as high as 60%.

The 2500 is your deductible. Basically if the damage was two thousand, five hundred dollars and one cent, their insurance would cut a check for a penny. I've been in an accident with Lyft and it sucks. I've had many people come through my shop and explain their horror stories of their insurance abandoning them like a dad who went out for cigarettes and never returned.

They total out the car anyway full loss . Charge u an exorbitant amount for protection every week then they take additional external fees from the fare . And in the event h have an accident will pay u the least amount possible. Get an attorney, get a camera protect ur self because the scumbags don’t give a fuck bout u.

I just ran across this video. So let me give you some inside information. I just went through this. There is not one insurance company that is going to cover you if you are driving a person in your vehicle. Because none of these insurance companies cover people they are not a taxi service. You better hope that it’s the other persons fault and you can sue their company there insurance company. If not, you are assed out.

I heard Sergio say I’ll buy my own insurance and pocket the Uber insurance fee of 20% or so. Problem is, no guarantee Uber will pass on the savings to the driver who self insures. Also, Uber could choose to lower the fare by 20%. So if you think self insurance is a possible answer, ask yourself, do you trust Uber to pass on the savings ?

Wrong. You're insurance covers you only if you have a Rideshare Endorsement for period 1 ONLY. Period 2 and 3 are Uber or lyft with a $2,500 deductible.

Some companies TNC coverage will cover all 3 periods and some only cover period 1.

@Autumn103103 Period 1. When you are on app and waiting for a ride request. Period 2. When you are on your way to pick up the passenger. Period 3. You are driving the passenger to their drop off.

Vehicle insurance is difficult to understand if you don’t have auto claim’s experience. Even his definition of Uninsured motorist coverage wasn’t accurate because it only covers injuries, not property damage for the insured only.

It’s not complicated you’re making it complicated. Read the policies just like you get into Rideshare. they give you three separate policies. You need to screenshot each policy and you just research each policy when you’re doing Rideshare you have Rideshare insurance if you opt into the insurance but if you opt out you’re on your own, you’re trying to make something complicated that’s not complicated. It’s just basically common sense, if you’re doing Rideshare, you have rideshare insurance if you’re driving personal with your personal vehicle you have personal insurance it’s up to you if you think you need extra insurance which you do not need it because you’re paying for it it’s just a waste of money. Yeah they’ll be hard deductions and basically high deductions, but isn’t everything set up the way you don’t like it if you want low deductions, go get your own insurance, but most insurance companies will not write you Rideshare insurance, but good luck with that one I’m just saying
