To all Futaba the Shoebill fans!
I started a membership to support Futaba the Shoebill!
So that Futaba can be happier than now, I would like to ask for your support in making videos that raise issues (which I have been doing for a long time). As a bonus for the members, we will tell you her real situation in photos and texts earlier than the video. You can cancel at any time, so please feel free to join us!
(Press the button "join" and select "Support Futaba")
You can also access from the link below:

This video is about the event named "Shoebill's meal time"
(talking and feeding by the caretaker).
There are 6 caretakers for FUTABA, he is her best favorite💕
I have compiled short videos that I have already uploaded.
【About FUTABA】
This bird is the shoebill, named FUTABA.
Shoebill is native to Africa. Bird whose DNA resembles shoebill is pelican.
FUTABA lives in a bird park(Kakegawa kachouen) in Japan.
Kakegawa kachouen k-hana-tori.com/eng
This bird has almost no voice, so it makes a sound by hitting its beak.
This is called cluttering.Bowing and cluttering are said to represent intimate feelings.
The name "Futaba" was decided by open call for participants.
"Futaba" means two leaves (young shoots of a plant).
Because at that time her hairstyle was similar.

Skit Bit - Side Split The only task he made her do was to get her on the scale. It is crucial to take the weight of animal to determine if they are losing weight or gaining weight rapidly. If the animal become underweight in a short amount of time, it can be a sign of parasites, Illnesses, or any other factor. Same for being overweight, any complication can occur. I would agree that it would be wrong if the caretaker made her perform anything else that falls into entertainment by teasing her with food. However, I don’t blame him for checking her health.

@@Muckylittleme Who is the guardian of whom? What right do we humans have to subordinate animals? I've been wondering this for as long as I've been conscious. We have debased intelligent and soulful animals, often more than us, to the point of having to rejoice because there is someone (the minority) who takes care of them. So sad.
@Muckylittleme
@Muckylittleme 5 ай бұрын
@@nessy2000 I think the majority of people appreciate nature and animals. It is a bit of anti-human perspective to selectively point out the worse traits without also pointing out the best. Humans are the most complex animals on Earth and their consciousness and intelligence allows them to manipulate their environment like no other animal can. This is a double edged sword as it can conflict with nature but also help preserve it. No other animals concern themselves with conservation. So it is up to humanity to understand our responsibility and take care of our environment but we must love ourselves first and foremost and ensure it is our best traits that are made manifest in this World and not the worse.

As for my burden, it's easy to meet by pointing to the fact that the dinosaur story contradicts itself saying that countless reptiles disappeared or became birds but crocodiles and tuataras didn't die out nor had to change drastically. That's a double standard. If there was enough sun for croccs and tuataras, then dinosaurs would still exist. They don't because they never existed. They were invented to fool people into rejecting Noah's Ark by there being too many creatures to fit and too big to fit. Also, aquatic monsters akin to dinos are part of that myth and none of them are here today even though the oceans have always been teeming with food for predators meteor or not.

They scoop their prey into their beak, leave their mouth open just enough for the prey to desperately stick its head back out of the mouth and into the open, and then the shoebill clamps its bill shut and decapitates its prey before eating it all. Said prey includes CROCODILES. Everytime I find myself thinking that avian dinosaurs were kind of lame with their feathers and other bird like qualities, I think about shoebills and geese and other terror-bird wannabes and am instantly reminded how lucky we are that dinosaurs are so small nowadays.

This Shoebill’s caretaker is a remarkable person. He clearly understands the unique bird’s need with it characteristics and such. I commend him and have now much admiration for him as I do for the exotic rare species bird. What a harmonious giving beginning with the caretaker. A bare t true witness to what differences people may make.

As a two time Umbrella Cockatoo parent, I can attest to how critical it is to become intimately aware of the subtle eye expressions and body postured of a potentially dangerous bird, even as small as a cockatoo. Their bite force can be tremendous and their beak can slice like a knife. If you don't know their subtle attitude signals and you allow your bird to socialize, eventually someone is going to get hurt. And this can include 911 level injury. Owning and sharing my life with Umbrella Cockatoos has been extremely rewarding. They are sweet, usually gentle birds that just like to hang with their humans and entertain them. But, like driving a Ferrari, if you don't know how to handle it, you really shouldn't own it.

I love this video, it is an example of true, tender care for Futaba-chan. If that gentle older brother can't take care of Futaba anymore, it's cruel to her. Her loneliness and longing for someone who liked her and whom she liked is certainly very painful. 🌱

@Hotsam Noirchards every animal in the world including domesticated animals if you aren't careful will do the same. If they think an offspring is sick or is to weak either they'll kill it by eating it or leave it to die. A wild animal doesn't have the luxury of taking its baby to the hospital like a human.

@@keewinter5752 They know they can only feed so many mouths and so they have survival of the fittest. Humans procreate til kids dying of starvation. We need to consider what planet can feed and have food left too for other species. Whales beaching from starvation. Part radiation killing off food supply. Fukishima going to let more contaminated water out so expect to see more sea creatures and sea plants we eat dying. We must be conscious that what we eat they do not get. Oceans can restock in Atlantic sooner but water on Pacific Ocean is heavily contaminated and will take very long time to repopulate. Plus big fish get more contamination from eating higher levels of radiation from eating multiple layers of contaminated fish. Imagine tbe billions the Pacific fed so protein more scarce as Pacific is essenti as lly dead. Need to eat more vegetables, and non GMO food. Eggs, fowl, meat, which I as many do not eat mammals. Israel will control protein ss making lab grown meat muscle than killing wearhouse raised animals. But will lack much enzymes and other nutrients. Some cultures eat huge portions of protein, esp meat I saw in restaurants when travrling in Europe, than needed. Shall we changr our habits or let people die or rid them.
