I was there, and you can’t hear on the tv , just how loud everyone was yelling MVP. Every time Ohtani was on the field, the crowd was yelling it. Great game!

@@Cliffem82 it’s crazy, the tickets are only 10-15$ usd to see the angles, history book stuff is happening and because the team isn’t good…no one is showing up. LA fans are some of the most fair-weather though, I grew up in Chicago. So don’t don’t test this…Cubs/Bears games sold out and we knew we were gonna lose. Anyways we gotta celebrate this guy, what an amazing display of talent.

Got to think this will open the door to the universal DH and a lot more players trying to go 2-way. There might be players in the future who will do this better than Ohtani, but he's definitely the best we've seen so far. Hopefully he can work on striking out less as a hitter.

Incredible. Having speed late in the 9th, back to back steal attempts and going home. People gotta realize sliding 2 times and having that speed to come home was amazing. Pinpoint accuracy too.

Yep, thats a big deal. He essentially sprinted a total of 360 feet in a a relatively short time where if he is just s tiny bit off he is out.

Ohtani has truly made baseball exciting to watch again

What an amazing moment. I’m not taking anything Ohtani does for granted. I never ever thought there would be someone like him. Wouldn’t even let myself entertain the thought!! But he’s here, right now. In the flesh. It doesn’t matter how it pans out in the long term. He’s given us some really special moments already, and I’ll treasure them for life. THANK YOU OHTANI-SAN!!!

Exactly, well stated. Even Babe Ruth dual played for only 2 seasons in Boston with limited pitching at the mound, and pitched no seasons on the Yankees - so it was tough to do back then, and ludicrous to pull off what Shohei's doing now. Enjoy the greatness while it lasts. If Ohtani (knocks on wood) manages to stay healthy and continues his great performances in both roles for the rest of the season, it'll go down in sports and baseball history for the ages!

I feel much the same. It would be great if he stays healthy and continues to be this great for awhile. But he could be a bit like Bo Jackson and be sidetracked by injury. It's enough that we've have this level of greatness and uniqueness for any length of time.

I have never seen a moment as exciting as this. He looks happier than ever. This is the reason I love watching baseball.

なんかの研究で野球で1番盛り上がる瞬間はランナーが3塁回る時って結果が出てたけど、これこそまさに最高の瞬間だよなあ
