I am a fan of Bone conduction headphones. I have used Shokz Openrun Pro and Wissonly Hi Runner, and I have a good impression of them. I haven't used Openmove before, it's an entry-level product from Shokz with fewer features. The one I am currently using the most is the Wissonly Hi Runner, which is more powerful and can be used in many scenarios.

I have a set of Shokz and I love them! After many years around fighter jets and other noises I am left with a significant hearing loss and tinnitus that at times is maddening and have difficulty at times using my cell phone, but with Shokz I can hear it just fine.

I will have to try those. I currently use ear buds wired to a semi-collar around my neck. I have loved those for years. I used them under my hearing protection. Like you however, I would like to be able to hear my surroundings while listing to music. Thanks for the tip.

@DiymyWay I love bone conduction headsets! I share all of your design quirks with the placement of the buttons. I have gotten a nearly identical set for under $30 they work great, but no warranty. I've used different sets for about 6 years now and I've never been disappointed. And yes, if you plug your ears with foam or silicone plugs it will enhance the experience because it stiffens the ear canal and the conductors can vibrate the plug making it act like an earbud. They're also better for your hearing.

The MIssus has a set and she also swears by them. I'm willing to try a set based on both your and her recommendations. What I'd really like to figure out is the good microphone you clip on your shirt while recording videos that gets your voice TO the camera. Thanks Martin, for the good points about the bone conductors for listening. I learned stuff I didn't know I wanted to learn !!

Hey Wendell! Yeah, you might find them useful to have for non-noisy chores and projects. If most of your chores are noisy, they may not be worth it to you. My wireless microphone set is the COMICA CVM-WM100 which I got on Amazon: amzn.to/3BNBpIo. This has two wireless mics and a receiver and may be more than you need. I think there is a single mic version as well. Also, there are inexpensive wireless mics where the transmitter and mic are built into a small rectangular device that you clip on your shirt. There is also a receiver on the camera side. I’ve seen a lot of KZfaqrs use these and they sound pretty good. Thanks for watching!

Hmmm, I wonder how they would work in conjunction with hearing aids? I have over the ear aids (started with in the ear and will go back to in the ear with my next set), and wonder if these would be better. My phone (including KZfaq and music) go through them as part of the Bluetooth technology. But when I’m listening through them, it pretty well blocks any sounds occurring outside of them. That’s very inconvenient. For 80 dollars, this might be helpful…and with the usb charging, might be able to plug when I’m on the tractor and extend that 6 hour time. Some days obviously, we all work outside longer than 6 hours but, while we’re on the tractor, we could be charging them at the same time? Interesting! Thought provoking!

Hi Kieth! I’m not sure how well they’d work with your current over the ear hearing aids, but they should certainly work with in ear ones. You can probably charge them while using them but I’d worry that the charging cable would be uncomfortable. Also, you might see if one of the other models or another brand has a longer battery life. I usually don’t work six hours straight and I find if I put them on the charger while I’m in for lunch or even just a short break, they charge up fast. Thanks for watching!

I use ear buds 90 % of the time in my truck I drive. Keeps most of the road and motor noise out of my head for hours at a time. Was wondering how the new one you have worked with glasses? Would they be uncomfortable after hours? Thanks.
