I love instax film but man this is just terrible. Even the stock instax cameras with plastic lenses give better results than this.

It makes sense to me that ISO 400 gives you better results in daylight. Fujifilm rates Instax film at ISO 800, and anything beyond a single stop of extra light just blows everything. It’s almost like instant slide film, where pushing and pulling has to be done with intent and care.

Love your channel, the music is lovely too. It's a shame the Instax back and lens causes so much loss in image quality. But hay it's all about the fun of shooting. I crossed processed some colour film in rodianl and the results were not great. ..but it's all about the fun of trying new things. Good luck with the move.

I assume they fixed the springs.. I have an 80s russian lomo lc-a with that back but for a few years ago and the springs weren't long enough to push the film so you only got 5 pictures, I had to buy a broken instax camera and swap the springs.. but the pics were in focus :P

The way I see it, if you already have the LCA, the back might be worth it but it won't give you better result than their Lomo Instant cameras. I was looking at their site and the back alone costs more than the Lomo'Instant. With the adapter lens that's required for the LCA, it probably comes close to the Lomo'Instant Automat. I guess the looks and the numbers speak for themselves.

Woof. And I love a bit of vignette. Yikes. Seems like you could make really really low fi images with a less expensive, more ergonomic way.

So in summary, without adapter lens = terrible. With adapter lens = awful :-) Thankfully you have a great eye, so the images are interesting in spite of (not because of) the lomo look.

La prueba está muy bien, pero creo que queda claro que es una tirada de dinero el adaptador ese...

IMHO those lomo backs (LC-a & Diana) are a piece of crap, I had the Diana one, sold it after couple of weeks. In like 4 packs of film I got maybe 4-6 ok pictures, just a waist of film. Better to buy any Instax camera and enjoy shooting, not disappoint yourself with this expensive experiment.

Anything other than the better Lomo films I stay away from. "The Lomo look" is just plain terrible to me. Film photography is expensive enough without your photos looking like a bad LSD trip.

I really dont see how this setup makes any sense. To be honest I get more and more annoyed seeing Lomo products, for the prices they ask they just sell a ton of garbage. Also how they send you the back without the correction lens. And how the thing doesnt close anymore as soon as the lens is on.. it just seems like a messy bunch of not well thought through plastic, deliberately producing bad images. I dont see any contribution to the film community.. trash the company and reward peoples interest and money with cheap but reliable film would be best. Its just sad... Edit: just checked again out of interest; 300 euro for JUST the LC-A+?? Like what?? So stupid.. they are robbing the film community imho
