Fantastic interview! No shit, my granddad on my ma's side got into a fistfight with Sheik (Original, not Iron) in Lansing. My granddad HUGE mark that dude. Found out the hard way why you don't beat down a wrestler -- especially when the Shiawassee DA was Sheik's brother in law. LOL My mom and dad LOVED wrestling - my mom did hair for the boys in Tampa -- bleach jobs etc.

Pro Wrestling is drama (story telling), illusion (a work), deception (swerves), and athletic peformance art (matches, stunts & psychology) as a business.

Don't get me wrong, this is an entertaining shoot, and I enjoyed it. But gd..the interviewer was kind've dense mark. Good work though. "I love when I hear you talking like that..(sounding ignorant, basically.) You don't even know, cause I'm from the streets.."😂😂 I'm not meaning to be a dick, but fuck, man. Lol.

I just watched a match between Jesse Ventura and Ivan Putski. Man what a great match! It showed everything that is missing from today. There was almost zero actual wrestling, it was all about psychology, the evil cheating heel Ventura vs the Polish Powerhouse babyface Putski. Ventura spent all his energy taking shots from Putski, then bailing out of the ring to escape, which enraged the crowd. Eventually Ventura got in a cheap shot, which gave him the upper hand. Numerous hair pulling moves by Ventura. Ventura then resorted to using a piece of tape to choke Putski. The crowd was going nuts, as everybody in the arena could clearly see that Ventura was cheating, with the hair pulls, then the tape, finally Ventura resorted to the awesome 'foreign object' to knock Putski out and win by count-out. And of course everybody saw what Ventura did, except the referee. Today's wrestling has none of the psychology that was on display in that Ventura-Putski match.

Only 8k views for a 3 hour interview from Kevin Nash?
@GrizzlyCountry3 жыл бұрын
And the pace of the match was measured, to build the heat between the heel Ventura and the fans. Today the wrestlers are flying around the ring, they don't have time to build the drama. Nash spoke about how he managed to wrestle with a bad leg for 25(?) years, but that was because he knew how to control the pace, slow down the action. Pace the match. Measure the crowd reaction. Build the heat. The thing that makes a great match is not how many high spots you can perform, it's how well the wrestlers can build that babyface vs heel heat. I'm out...

I was hella shocked when I seen what the interviewer looked like at the end of this video lol. Thought it was a black dude the whole time for real 😂 My bad for the misjudgment! Btw, don't worry about all these haters in the comments talkin shit cause they couldn't get Nash in an interview for themselves, let alone afford him either so fuck em. This interview was good, professional or not. Nash makes any interview he's in entertaining and I've been a fan of his since I was a kid and I'm 30 now, so at least over 20 years now he's been one of my favorites in pro wrestling. He was and shall always be the man in that sort of entertainment, to me at least.

Nash's criticism of RAW is dead on. I'm a little bit unsure of the HHH thing though. I think Steph-HHH ego's are a big part of the problem. They definitely have to change what they are doing. It's gotten to the point that it's unwatchable. The predictable boring opening monologue, with interruptions, plus boring characters is killing the show.
