I hunt public land in the ouachita mtns, I definetly shot some nice ones. No monsters. Kinda take what the mountains offer me

I laugh every time rack hunters talk about "Big deer" or "mature bucks". Meanwhile they'll just as easily shoot a 3 year old before they take a big old buck with a smaller rack...

Sorry willie, but the damaged, missing left eye, came before the lack of left side antler. The infection in his left eye is what caused the lack of left antler.

Since im not rich and famous, and cant afford to pay thousands of dollars to shoot a "trophy" that somebody raised on private property...any legal buck i shoot is a trophy to me. Im a blue-collar, public land hunter that likes eating venison steak instead of rack soup...

they don't have a deer farms they just manage big leases that produce big deer, they feed the deer with massive food plots and minerals that make the antlers grow bigger.

Yeah this happened to me yesterday. Got down from my stand and slipped 100 yards back to where I thought the deer were slipping outside of my wind. Within 5 minutes, I shot what I thought was a decent buck from the ground. Walked up on him and it was a “well he’s dead”.

Man an massive 10 did that to me last season but my first buck was 141 yards away for a gun sited for 25 yards if you put you mind to it you can do anything and everything.

That deer Tomboy killed was a beast. Nobody remembers that typical 8 like they remember that half rack heavy spike. That was a Tru beast in my book. Would have been proud of that deer

Trophy is whatever you are happy with shooting. Idc if its a spike, a doe or a 200 inch buck. Nobody else is paying for the license and tags but you. Shoot what you want and what makes you excited.

Langey what would you Define as a throphy Buck? “Any deer or bull thy really makes you work for it” These guys don’t work for their kills they go to a ranch that has deer everywhere and they bait them they do absolutely no work to harvest and actual animal.
