First of all, great to see the In An Instant Cinematic Universe add some more depth to Ben's character with the introduction of Mom and Dad. Second: the fact that you didn't use a manual processor was a missed opportunity and this needs to be revisited! Third: the final challenger awaits: The monstrous 20x24 Polaroid in Berlin.

Your dad is a man of impeccable taste being a fellow triumph rider! 8x10 looks bloody brilliant, just really shows you the true quality of Polaroid film and emphasising the lens issue was a great shout, I think people in general don't appreciate that's one of the big reasons the sx-70 is so good. Nice to see Kyle in action, having been on the receiving end of his generosity recently it was great to see a bit of the man himself 👍🏻 Another braw video Ben, Slaintè!

Thank you Mock! Yes we finally got Lauren on the mic 😂, seems she loved the spotlight. And yes daddio is definitely deep in that bike culture, trying to get the Triumph into the studio was simply an impossible task haha but glad we shot with it outside (lemons out of lemonade). And so happy to have this vid with Kyle out into the world, an honor to work with the lad. As for the bike, it's actually a Raleigh that was used on the set of the show Lost. Rarely does it leave its proud display in the studio but for this video it was worth it.

This has been, by far, the most exciting episode I have seen! The fact of seeing that instant film stays more alive than ever and Ben shooting 8 x 10 is the ultimate instant film fan dream! It was definitely our most logistically complicated episode and the one with by far the most material to edit in post-production but this labor of love was supremely rewarding! Sweet and sour 8x10 stuff. Recently, i really hope shoot the KTX train with 8x10 thing. Seriously, it will provide me a whole train picture head-to-end. The funny thing is, the Dr. Edwin Land's first ever instant photo was 8x10 photo.

My kingdom for 8x10. Also space for 8x10...film...um...motivation too I guess? Maybe more developing stuff to do it...oh wait also lenses? A sturdy tripod...regular holders, polaroid holders, polaroid processor, polaroid film, and a pack mule to carry it for me.

Great video, Thank U! I notice U get a lighter stripe in the middle of the pictures. F.I. 9 minutes and 46 sec and 13.06 into the video. We also get the same result. Do U have a solution to that? We do not use the tray. We use the Model 81-05 holder.

I’m considering buying an 81-05 holder; however I’ve read the 81-06 is easier to manage and wanted to get your take on which is preferable. Thanks.

The 81-06 works with the tray, which is easier to use with the new integral version of the 8x10.

Hi Dave, that is a problem with your rollers putting a bit too much pressure on your film as it ejects. I recommend a good cleaning!

why not make watery chemicle packs so they last longer? the chemistry still works perfectly fine just don't quite make it to the end. seems like an easy way to extend the shelf life without needing to actually develop more stable chemicles. what if you put them in a humity chamber for a while before shooting? get some more moisture in that pack.

😂😂 I self-fund these adventures, and the cost of film, etc. I work in this field (directing, editing) so I owned a lot of professional tools and resources coming into this channel, plus the studio which is huge for this. So yeah I spend a lot of my disposable income on this stuff (prob too much 😂) but it’s a passion and I bust my ass 24/7 so I think it’s okay for now lmao

@@InAnInstant Seriously though, everything is done so well. I noticed that the scans of every Polaroid or Instax always seems like the perfect scan, cropped perfectly. The visuals always have perfect continuity. Honestly, I don't think Polaroid could even make a channel as good as yours.
