Tonight, Portsmouth police are investigating a shooting. It happened at Essex Food Store on High Street just before 2:30 this afternoon. Store employees told police they got into a fight with a man who tried to take items from the store. Police did not say if the man or an employee got hurt or how they're doing tonight.
