Lieutenant Commander Ian Molyneux may he rest in peace was my brothers commanding officer, my brother was on bridge at the time with Lt Commander Molyneux and witnessed Lt Commander Molyneux lose his life and the other victim also be a victim. I lived in Midswest USA (Springfield MO) at the time and it was breaking news at approx 2/3 a.m. on BBC World News....I happened to be awake watching and saw it was my brothers boat! Lt Commander Molyneux also went through Naval College with my father who was also a Submariner Offcier. Although I have never served in any service myself, I can't thank enough Lieutenant Commander Molyneux for being a role model and leader for my brother and a friend of my Dad! My he and his memory Rest In Peace.
