As far as yogurt goes "sell by" dates are suggestions. It's yogurt for goodness sakes; it's already milk gone bad. That's why it's yogurt. Lol. Fabulous deals. Wish I could get there more than twice a year.

Yes. They are looking at getting rid of these kinds of dates on food packaging in Canada. All it does is inspire even more food waste. People need to rely on their own good sense to decide if food shouldn't be served.

Yogurt us not spoiled milk. It is milk that has live cultures added.

Smell test first, then a small taste test! You'll know if yogurt and sour cream has gone bad (which would be a long time after the "best before" or even "use by" date in my experience). I'm an Aussie ... the use by or best before dates are often a complete furphy - unless you're dealing with meat products of all kinds, and especially chicken and seafood. Never take chances with chicken or seafood! I'm very cautious with all meat (including lunch meat) and generally freeze these products well before the use by date. :)

I just visited my local Aldi last week. I didn't get much but the manager saw me get a few things. He asked me if work season started for us. I said yup back to work full swing. He said good I miss seeing you come in and doing your stock up hauls. He knows we do lawn care for a living and I wanted to cry. He said see you soon. What gets me with food dates is that sometimes it just feels like a way to breed more fear in people. Be smart about it, but they aren’t a 100% it’s bad after that date. Yogurt being a cultured product takes a good while to actually go bad. I grew up being taught home preservation methods and even store bought products you have to be careful with because things happen. Just use your best judgement and common sense about what foods could have spoiled. That’s why I love my local sharp shopper, the things are still usually months out or it’s a date misprint from the factory that ended up there, and at a fraction of the normal store cost.

Great deals! Yogurt is supposed to be still good 2 to 3 weeks after expiration date at least. I've ate after the date and I'm still here. 😊

I found Sharp Shopper thru your videos. We live in New Jersey and take the 1 1/2 hour drive to one in Pa. every so often. My sister in law lives in Winchester, VA, and we go to Sharp Shopper every time we visit. She didn't know it was there or anything about it. We converted another one. Haha Thank you.

My sister and I traveled from Southern NJ to 2 of the Sharp Shoppers in PA because of your videos. It was 90 miles each way. Loved Sharp Shopper and cant wait to go back. We had a blast!!!!

I have celiac so I am entirely too versed in GF products. Depending on the level of gluten sensitivity, be careful with oat products like granola bars and Cheerios. They’re not considered GF enough for celiac folks, so if your kiddos are still having occasional symptoms oats might be a culprit. Thank you for taking steps to keep them safe like getting them their own chips!

I love finding great grocery deals. Food shopping can be so expensive today. I try very hard to stick to my , "if its not on sale, I won't buy it" deals. I even compare multiple stores flyers. Even started buy roasts, and then cutting into steaks, strips and stew meats. Far cheaper.

When we were in Pennsylvania a few weeks ago we went to the Sharp Shopper in Ephrata and it was amazing. I wish I had a bigger car because I could have bought a lot more than I did. Also will make note to bring a cooler next time so I can take advantage of the cold and frozen items.

We daughter and I take a trip to Sharp Shopper in Butler,Pa a few times a year . When we go in , we always say that we don't need much but come out with a cart full !!

These dates guarantee that the items are definitely good up to that date, they are usually good beyond that date. Just trust your eyes and nose and taste sense. As long as it doesn't smell or look bad it's fine. The date does not say: deadly the day after. 😄

True North is on the tonic water heavy flavor side. If you like that. I used it as a mix in or added a flavor packet. Aspire is pretty good. Just watching saying I better mention it... I purchased mine at sharp shopper in P.A. Hope that helps! You look fantastic, mama on a mission goals!

I almost forgot, I quoted you today as I was teaching a jewellery workshop, a gratis for a religious group who do great work for others. I'm atheist, but that's irrelevant, people helping people is enough for me. An older lady was telling me the nonsense she's had over the last 18 months and I told her about my KZfaq friend Jamerell who calls them seasons in life. That right now she can't do her 3 x a week early morning swim & lots of things that's her business that I won't share. I said that the season may come where she might do once a week....I could hear you in my mind telling her :) it was a very enjoyable workshop, you know when your face aches from smiling & laughing, it was one of those:)

A yoghurt a few days past is fine, so many people throw so much away because of dates. We all know the no goes such as seafood, but I know people who will throw away carrots, apples, tomatoes...it's crazy. I usually ask people if things growing have a date on them like a birth certificate 😂

I do gf caramel rice cakes with banana, peanut butter & banana, in combinations of those. I'm lucky I don't like biscuits \cookies & cakes so I don't miss them. I have other allergies too and snack foods, quick lunch things aren't easy

I miss Sharp Shopper and BBs from PA but to my great delight a discount grocery opened up here in FL just over a year ago and as you would say…it’s all my hopes and dreams!😂😂 Fantastic!
