We've always enjoyed thrifting and antiquing for vintage MCM furniture, lighting, kitchen dishes and accessories to use and decorate our home since 2005. I can't get over what good deals you get at your local antique stores. In my opinion those prices are comparable with thrift store prices. Very lucky to have such wonderful places close to you

Thanks for taking us along on the journey! I think it’s a sampler because it’s a sample of the young girl’s needlework. Maybe there were S & P in those pierced ears originally!

Hello, My first time watching your video. Interesting treasures ... So enjoyable. My understanding of a " Sampler " is back in the day they used to practice the alphabet, numbers and stitching technic's until the material was full.....this is why you see a variety stitched on one picture. Thanks Peggy & Norm I enjoyed this shop along. I love your style of filming, very slow, patient and smooth so we can take in what your showing us. So often the person filming will pick something up and turn it over right away to check the mark or focus on the price that the home viewer doesn’t get a chance to see the item itself! You give the viewer plenty of time to enjoy.

That open lacework milkglas is stunning. yes you bought that very cute bunnyplanter. That litle vase looks like a swan to me I love that lovely blue lidded glaspiece next to the donky with the mouse on his back. Those kitty s are so cute!!!! The Persian is my favorite. And the one with the green bow sitting on the yarn. That TV lamp is stunning. I dont like fighting roosters eighther. Those shoedisplacers are so nice. To bad you didn t mension the price. Ow I love those flower plateholders. Never ever seen those in Belgium where I live Thank you Norm to take us along to the toy section . I have short memory loss to sweety. Indeed very frustrating

My high school English teacher would put up all her Valentine heart boxes on her bulletin boards each year. She had boxes like you found, with the flowers, in every color of the rainbow. Now I display the lids of the fancier boxes I have (from See's and Ethel M) on my walls too! She was an interesting person and loved her husband dearly. She had a pleated skirt made from all his silk neckties after he retired!

Loved it all. I remember those boxes of Valentine candy. I didn't know they were collectable. Funny story, when I was growing up we always use to get our Valentine's day gift on February 15th. My Dad would go to several stores and buy the giant boxes of candy at about 75% off. They use to mark them down to 50% a day or two before Valentine's day so the day after they were 75% off. Sometimes he would go again a week later and get them 90% off. They put them in the freezer and we had Valentine candy for months.

WOW! I'm in love with the Cow Jumped Over the Moon cookie jar! Looked it up on eBay-- but too pricey for me. 😟 Beautiful things at that mall. I'm envious. 😉 I've been shopping for springtime things on Etsy, mostly, because I like their primitive handmade items and unique vintage offerings. Prices are usually reasonable, shipping is fast, and customer service is superb. Happy (early) Easter, kids! I'm trying to ignore the three weeks of subzero cold.

Love the green and purple cake stand at 10:48. Also, I like the way you filmed up close so we could see the items in detail. I think they call the cross stitch samplers because as girls were learning how to stitch they started with the alphabet as a sample of their skills improving. Great trip! Always love your videos!

When I saw the “Cow jumped over the moon” cookie jar, my heart stopped. I took years to build a 1940-50s airbrushed cookie jar collection. Most were McCoy and American Bisque. Had a few Shawnee ones too. Those companies produced the best examples ever manufactured during that 20 year period. The only thing that ever rivaled that collection was the 1940-50s pink flamingo flock (100+). I never saw so many smiles, laughs, and giggles. Isn’t that what it is all about with kitsch? Thanks for a wonderful trip.

At timestamp 7:53 minutes, there's a pretty pottery large ribbon bow designed planter in pink and green color where I say "it has a hole in the back." So I have to assume it can be hung up as well.
