I had SUCH a blast chatting with y’all, thank you again so very much for having me on. I also want to thank each and every commenter here for their kind words towards me. Each one has really touched my heart. For many years I was bullied and treated unkindly for having a mind that works “differently” than the norm. Great shopcast as always! Welcome Ruth and Kim! It was delightful and inspiring to meet you both! Ruth, your crocheted garments are lovely and I especially liked the lacy cardigan. I love Ruth's projects!! I'm not a crocheter, but her sweaters are gorgeous--as is her back yard! And, what a delight to meet Kim, who is not only an amazing young woman, but a beyond creative designer whom I did not know before. I love that there are people like her whose minds work so differently than mine. I am drooling over your Rambler yarn and will have to get some soon!

I would like to suggest that you have more crochet segments, I just loved seeing Ruth’s lovely garments, they are so incredibly beautiful! The Wooldreamers wool/cotton mix sounds really nice, I bet it’s nice and cushy. Thanks for your podcasts and I so happy you’re adding additional episodes, you guys are great! ❤

I loved hearing more crochet ideas, welcome Ruth! I’m primarily a knitter, but it was still a lot of fun to see these wonderful yarns used in new ways. The interview with Kim was fantastic, her excitement and unique design aesthetic were both lovely to see! I’m so happy you’re considering doing the shopcast more frequently, it’s something I really look forward to every couple of weeks, I’d be thrilled to see it more often!!

Thank you for having Ruth come on and show her beautiful creations! I remember growing up that you really couldn't find patterns for clothing that were crocheted or if you did, they certainly didn't look stunning like these! They left a lot to be desired as well. It's amazing the quality of the crochet patterns that are out there today and I think a big move forward for crocheters! Just beautiful! Also the interview with Kim was a hoot as well! She is very interesting and fun to listen to and how she thinks and how she creates, etc. I will be interested to see what more interesting designs she comes up with as well.

I couldn't savor this until Sunday but, boy, savor I did! While I enjoyed all the special videos this week, my favorite was the interview with Kim of Indigo Knits Designs. I used to draw those types of intricacies in my youth and now wonder why I gave it up. Lost my courage? Lost giving myself permission? Mid 60s and now I feel it's too late to revisit. But I can still admire the beauty of her creations. Keep following your passion, Kim!

I really cant crochet (but love to knit!) & thought all (most) crochet garments had that granny square look to them & I dont like that look on myself. Your crocheted garments are beautiful! & they definitely dont have that granny square look! You have great skill in crocheting! Thanks for sharing your projects! The Maine Island Socks are gorgeous! I keep telling myself I dont need any more sock yarn! I may rethink this in the near future! It was a wonderful interview with Kim from IndigoKnits. Interesting design patterns. I have enjoyed all episodes of The Woolly Thistle shop casts I have seen. As time permits and while waiting for the next one, I watch previous episodes. I love the search capability on your website which includes links to previous episodes that touch on my search criteria. That is helpful!! I am learning much about different yarns and how to use them. I crocheted long before knitting, so I loved Ruth’s segment!! I have to circle back and comment again. I just loved the interview with Kim! She is clearly a neurodiverse person, and yet she's turned into strengths the things that might be challenges for others. I hope we hear and see more of her in the very near future! Her projects are such visual treats and her passion to make patterns be fully size inclusive is near and dear to my heart.

PS I know you tape in advance, but I am delighted to report that it is very chilly (40s-50s) in the Adirondacks - snow even lingering in shady/protected places. I love this; hot weather flattens me. So I am very cheerful in my woolly wool sweaters. Yum!

What a fun Shopcast! I crochet as well as knit so especially enjoyed Ruth's segment! Ruth's crocheted garments look stylish and contemporary and use TWT yarns. What could be better? Kim of Indigo Knits is pure joy! She is totally authentic and an incredible designer. I'll definitely check out Kim's designs as well as the patterns Ruth featured in her segment. As always, Yoga for Knitters with Kim from Canada is a welcome and relaxing close to any and all Shopcasts. Wonderful news to hear we're going to be treated to a Shopcast on a weekly basis beginning next week. Corinne and Maggie, you both blow my mind with all you do for TWT and for all of us who are fans of all things and everyone at The Woolly Thistle. Shopcast #225 was incredibly fulfilling with so much information on my first watch-through I'm definitely going to watch this episode a second time. Thank you SO much!

Wow! What an inspiring and exciting podcast this week so don’t be concerned about the lack of your own knitting content. Your two guest interviews provided so many unique and inspirational projects that my head was spinning. Ruth showed us crocheting could give us more than just granny squares projects and market bags. Kim provided us with her refreshing new knitting patterns and her can-do attitude pep talk. I was all set to join the vest KAL but maybe I want to knit one of Kim‘s sweaters instead. You’re right, I could do both.
