Shopify entering in its Webflowp era 😅

Theme blocks are ok. But that flexsections thing looks halfassed at best. The tailwind classes are just horrendous and I’m not a big fan of Shopify injecting more and more files into themes. Plus that those styles look way too closed and opinionated to me, and will force developers to spend hours debugging Shopify’s poorly written css or force devs to use the wrong tools just because Shopify decided that flexbox is better than grids. I think at this point we all can say that Shopify has a record of launching features and in a year abandoning them. What’s going to happen in future with this “feature” when new css specs enter the game and Shopify does not update those files anymore? I already had such problems with such proprietary JS files from Shopify where they stopped updating them and never added support for additional image formats even tho they started supporting them on the platform.
