This is what happens when Amazon and even Walmart is killing malls, a lot of malls all around the country are closing.

I'm sadder over what happened to Winrock.

This was also done in January, a month after Christmas, so it is annually a slow period.

Cottonwood is still alive but it is slowing way down. The reason for the closures is inflation. Amazon and Walmart have affordable prices, of course people are going to shop there instead of paying full retail price on the same item. I live by Cottonwood Mall and I'm sad to see it go under.

There are more stores closing at the end of this month making it more than 30 + empty stores and kiosks. You want an answer to why its the disrepair and management of this place. Our store has had to close 31 days in total over the past 6 months due to water pouring into our ceiling including from a toilet and being told by management that it was clean water and we had no reasons to close although half of our apparel and 98 percent of our accessories were affected. We can not sell items that were/could have been splashed with falling toilet water or mop water from above. This is a health hazard to us and our customers and does not give a high end shopping experience view to shoppers that a mall is supposed to. We make orders for new product to only have it ruined by a new leak weeks later. We can not survive when this happens and we have to keep closing and doing rearranging and downsizing product due to losses. We have lost business and can not recover when the stores affecting us ignore the damages and the mall has no interest in helping or working with us. We are a family owned business and we are going to lose it all from the series of problems with this mall. We would love to speak to the media about this and let them know just how much Cottonwood thinks of its tenants.

There is plenty of shopping around the mall and you can drive right up to the door...
