Guam is American Soil. It not only serves as a military base but also as a land base for US expat veterans scattered around SE Asia to come to the island & spend & use their US federal pensions to patronize American businesses. The American experiment is faltering and the far flung colony is far too dependent on the US.

If you were going to retire there, it's going to be expensive.

@@TravelingTutor yep, but cheaper than Oahu. Guam is still cheaper than living in Tokyo. When you compare Guam vs the Philippines the latter is way cheaper. The Filipinos tho are very happy to come to Guam and even happier when they get US citizenship there.

Im from Hawaii, I moved to guam and never looked back. It's cheaper to live in guam than in Hawaii. I don't pay sales tax gas is expensive but still cheaper than Hawaii the island is chill slow life easy to live. What more could I want. Love it here

Guam is cheaper but it's still WAY more expensive than living in the Philippines. I still had a great time there and hope to go back in the future.

@@TravelingTutor true that. Hehe. But only because our dollar is higher in Philippines. But you can't go wrong if you decide to live there. It's awesome place too

The first mall looks like Terribles at State Line or Diamond in Anchorage. Patriot was in Days of Thunder.

Hello David! New friend here. 👋I see you are filming in Guam. That is so cool because I was born on Guam. My mom is from Saipan. I have lived in the US my whole life. Only went back to Guam and Saipan as a child/vacation. Thank you for the tour. See you next video. 💜

Those trees with above-ground roots are called "Banyan Trees" and are indigeneous to SE Asian and even in central Asia. I believe it is the national tree of India. Long time Philippines vlogger here, turned Guam vlogger, and returning home to the Philippines next week. 🌴😎

@Malley-ch4cl5 ай бұрын
Not banyans. Those are pandanus plants. Some species of pandanus (not these though) have edible fruits.

If you try to keep your purchases and money on the island. The more the island will thrive. I would avoid buying imported goods as much as possible.

This is so BS! And you know it....Guam has TWO malls....neither is impressive in size or scope...most small towns in Jersey used to have malls as big as the ONLY real mall here...Micronesia Mall. That was before malls started shuttering across America. I cannot believe you are telling people these two 'outlets' are HUGE - when they are anything but! And for the record - there is nothing "hidden" about Port of Mocha! you used the inside entrance and not the main entrance right next to the MAIN mall entrance.... WTH, dude??? SMDH...i cant even watch the rest of this....nonsense

Guam actually has THREE malls... (not counting the TWO huge base exchanges) and not too bad for an island of only 160k people. Malls in America are failing, unlike the malls in Guam where they are NOT too BIG to fail. 🤨
