Today I am taking you on a vintage thrift shopping spree adventure to one of the BIGGEST and most famous flea markets in the world - Portobello Road Market! Located in London, England in the beautiful Notting Hill (yes, like the movie!) this huge antique treasure hunt features designer finds to cheap treasures, clothes to furniture and quite literally EVERYTHING in between.

I’m glad Amber came back to London. Portobello is cool but there’s also Spitalfields, Brick Lane and Camden markets too, although they’ve kind of been gentrified now. Side note; still patiently waiting for the. Kitchen reno in the Sky Castle tho. Wondering if she’ll do an 18th century look or go modern like the Ritz 🤔 I’m here for it whatever the style ✊🏾

You can get a shipping container, it is actually quite good value. Shipping by sea is affordable but it takes awhile. There are companies that can organize the logistics.

i love, love that so many of you young folks are into antiques & history, i love it. it makes me so happy. you are fun. everybody came on the same bus i guess. i got my son a box of teas from fortnam & mason, & a porcelain ta cup & saucer ornament from another store. f & m had a gorgeous tea cup ornament i ordered but they had sold out, bummer. big, fat bummer. i'm going to london next dec on the qm2 & am spending a few days in london & flying home back to new york state. i cannot wait. shopping is on the itinerary, just little bits & bobs, but that will suffice for sure.an ornament or two. i am loving this market place, oh man. i am so happy for you.

The second to the last time I went there I was walking down the street and heard what sounded like a bucket of water spilling…I’m looking around and a lady behind me gasped. Come to find out a pigeon pooped from above and it went all down my hair, my shirt and got on my purse. It was so bad I had to ask a store owner if I could use his restroom. While he reluctantly let me, I had to wait for my husband to bring me a new shirt to wear. It’s a great place to go but now I literally watch my back! Haha.

That hotel is gorgeous! I'll have to remember that market whenever I visit London, everything looks SO STUNNING, I want it ALL! Alsooo so nice that you got there first/early!
