Tom Nook is based off Raccoon Dogs also known as Tanuki. So the cup looked like him because he is a Tanuki.

Please do not stop. I love these videos! This helps me so much before a trip because I get overwhelmed in the stores and I want to make sure I don't miss anything. These videos help me get to know the store layout and some of the merch. I know it might change by the time I get there but seeing this eases some anxiety for me. So, I appreciate them a lot!

If you buy mochi next time you go back, the peach flavor is soooo good! It’s definitely my favorite flavor they sell. We ended up buying 2 packs last time we went.

That mug that looks like a character from animal crossing is actually a tanuki (raccoon dog). It’s an actual animal living in Japan and also believe to have magical powers

We have to go in this store every trip. My daughter love all things Japan. She even got a kimono from here on our trip 2 years ago. We will be down in a week and a half. If you ever come to Tokyo, check out Mario Kart. You can ride through the streets of Tokyo in a go-cart dressed as a Mario character or Disney character. You need an international drivers license. So much fun!!

Not a ‘fan’ of pokemon either but did enjoy detective pikachu, and Charizard is the BEST Pokemon! Ahhh music from illuminations pre show was playing, love it! So much cool stuff in that store, one of our favourites!

Disney is missing a MAJOR OPPORTUNITY to bring merchandise from Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disneysea....ALSO they should have Disney merchandise where they collaborate with various Japanese franchises so we can get some Sanrio, Hello Kitty, Sailor Moon, Pokémon, My Hero Academia, Rilakkuma (the cute bear and baby chicks wearing various costumes), etc MERCH with Disney characters on them of Disney MERCH with Disney Characters designed in a similar way to those Japanese characters. It just seems like that stuff would fly off the shelves especially for those who are Disney collectors...if they got in exclusive items from Disneyland Tokyo you can only get for a limited time that they’d make a killing. But what do I know. You’d think the marketing and business geniuses that is Disney they would think of this stuff.
