Phuket, Thailand is famously known for the wide array of fake market goods ranging from designer handbags, knock off Nike's shoes and many fake basketball jerseys. Today I took a stroll down Patong towards Bangla to bargain for such goods.

I'm Thai. Many sellers are not Thai. Selling such things like this in Thailand is illegal for foreigners. However, the cost of living in Phuket is higher than other provinces. If you are in Bangkok, clothes are much cheaper at wholesale markets like Pratunam Market and if you come to Chiang Mai. It will be cheaper, almost half the price in Phuket.

I have not seen any Thai sellers in your video including the Vietnamese lady who sold you the bag. You know from the accent. Thailand is the land of opportunity therefore many illegal migrants choose to move in. The Thai laws also don't allow non-Thais to own shops but nobody seems to care about.

@@chitcharoensatewerawat6097 Cops tried to get rid of these illegal-doings by charging lots of money so that Vietnamese would gave up selling but Vietnamese are hardworking, they willing to pay no matter how much cops charged. At the end cops enjoy those grey money. That's why it's expensive than in bkk. They did invest a lot.

Thai electricity is at a 50hz frequency I think, your camera is recording at 30 or 60p probably, this causes the light to flicker. change to 25p or 50p

IMO, that's a damn good price on the sneakers. Here's the scoop... Made in Vietnam, most possibly by the same manf of the real ones anyways. They can be made of the same material but discarded quality. That's why you can barely tell the difference.

A good test is to twist the sole. If the sole is hard to twist and get out of shape, like the genuine items, then the shoe in question maybe seconds quality. But, as stated, the quality maybe so high you can barely tell the difference. Paying attention to the details of the shoe is also an indicator of the shoe was make by the actual original factory. 👟

To be honest they're pretty much all the same in Phuket. But Bangla market seems to do alright, just make sure to negotiate and don't be afraid to walk away else where. As for watches, I'm not to sure about that. Hope you find some good deals

I am the one to get the bad experience from the sellers there.I just walked pass them. They had bad tempers and scolded me in Thai words which they thought I wasn't Thai. They are not Thai for sure. After that time, I didn't want to visit Phuket anymore.

ไม่ใช่คนไทยแต่เป็นต่างด้าวจากเวียดนามหรือไม่ก็พม่า(หน้าแขก) ค่าครองชีพที่ป่าตอง,ภูเก็ตสูงกว่ากทม. ค่าเช่าร้าน 50,000+บาท/เดือน ไหนจะค่าลิขสิทธิ์เอย ค่าต่างด้าวเอย ปาไปทั้งหมดเกือบแสนบาท ไม่ขาย 200 บาท จะเอาเงินที่ไหนมาเป็นกำไรคับ พวกพ่อค้าแม่ค้าต่างด้าวก็ขยันจัด งงมากอยู่รอดได้ไง
