Today I am taking you on a thrift shopping spree to the largest thrift store in Los Angeles! I had never been (shocking) before today and it was totally worth the trip! From designer finds to cheap treasures, clothes to furniture and quite literally EVERYTHING in between - here is my very extra thrifting haul :)

The yellow “dress” was a Vietnamese traditional piece called “ao dai”. You have to wear pants inside with that 🤣 It’s really flattering, it enhances all of your curves ☺️

Peep the guy at 1:48! Not sure if you caught it in person, but if you did I hope you called him out! I used to be a cocktail server at pools inVegas and would have this happen all the time. I always called them out loudly to shame them and make them delete it immediately. A girl can’t even shop without a man finding a way to violate them. So sad 😔 nice vlog tho and thanks for sharing! ❤️

I’m a teen girl who doesn’t love sparkles and diamonds but I love vintage 90s dark colors that are feminine yet borderline Gilmore girls cozy but I still appreciate ambers aesthetic! She’s so positive too!! ☺️☺️

Thrift stores are absolutely amazing, you never know what your gonna find. Sometimes you walk out with some really iconic things. But ive noticed that the thrift stores started raising their prices, especially if they're designer or name brand. But still fun . Love love love 💕🥰

5:48 - Hey guys! That’s the cultural dress of Vietnam. We call it “ao dai”, and worn with flowy silk pants. Once someone wore it alone as a “sexy slit dress”. It left a bad taste, as I respect my culture along with many others. Let’s stay educated and keep it respectable!

@@yassydney I’m so glad that I am not alone! Personally, it’s okay to adorn yourself in other cultural clothing… just please do research and do it right. It may not hurt those in mainland Asia, but for us Asian-Americans, who lived in discrimination, it matters A LOT.

Well some people might see that and not realize it’s from a culture. Not everyone is out to be disrespectful. I wouldn’t see that and think it’s tied to a culture bc I know nothing about Vietnam or the culture. I know you’re trying to bring awareness and educate but not everyone will know your culture therefore they see it as “just a cute dress”.

I think the blame should be on the thrift shops trying to make a profit rather than the depopers. Actually charity shops still have their prices and help the communities they were designed to help, from what I've seen. Goodwill on the otherhand, probably would raise the price either way

They are pricing furniture for $100 plus. I am talking small dusty bamboo jewelry holders. The beds are like $500 in 4 thrift stores near me. It's cheaper to buy some of the stuff new than preowned now.

Hi amber! The yellow dress you saw with the slit is an "ao dai" which means long dress in vietnamese, it is worn with long pants. Thats why the slits are intense haha

By shopping there people are not taking away from the least fortunate, thrift stores get restocked every single day. Its not a soup kitchen that feeds homeless people one free meal a day

People are selling fake luxury items for a very high price in flea markets. If you are getting mad at her for finding something thats worth money and selling it which she can because SHE owns it, then come for everyone that does it, Don’t just pick and choose. There are more bigger and more dangerous things happening in life at the moment, cut yourself some stress

Lol I think the yellow shirt at 5:39 is a Vietnamese traditional costume called "Ao dai" which means a long shirt, u are supposed to wear it with pants but I think they got separated after being donated

The yellow dress is a traditional vietnamese dress, worn with pants underneath, so thats why the slit is so high!

The yellow dress with the high slits on the sides is actually the traditional Vietnamese dress called the 'Ao Dai' usually it is worn over a pair of white silk wide leg pants.
