Right on! Just because someone is in a wheelchair that doesn't mean they are always unable to stand! You don't have to be entirely unable to walk and use your legs to use a wheelchair.

Brandi *click* Bear! My mum is has M.E. and fibro mialgia and we were at Disney once at a monorail station with only one ramp for several people who wanted to disembark. Mum stood up to allow dad to lift her chair into the station to help the cast members out. Opposite there was a line of people waiting for a different monorail. Many of then stared whilst mum stood. I felt like shouting "it's a miracle! She can walk". People need to understand that if not all disabilities are visible.

I love Janice, she reminds me of my best friend Sam who knows perfectly how to turn the frustrations of chronic illness and disability into humour. Over the years I don't know where I would be without my best friend, she is crude and rude but always there when ever needed be it practical help or emotional. No one can kick me out of the occasional pity party like she can, make me laugh and feel normal, hold me when my heart is breaking and come in to rescue when things overwhelm at a moments notice. Everyone needs friends like Janice and my Sam in their lives and when you are chronically ill and needing more support and help then you feel you can ever expect of a person these friends are essential and often times literal life savers.

2 years later rewatching this. Hearing you talk about getting a big ceremony when you're feeling better made me tear up. You so desurved to get that big ceremony. I miss you jaquie. I miss you so much. You did not deserve such a short life.

I love the way you and Janiece interact, it's exactly like my friends and I. I guess when constantly battling chronic illnesses there has to be lots of humour. My friends and I (a few of whom are chronically ill too) joke around. So I started to ramble but yeah y'all are so awesome

This was the first video I have seen with her bestie, so seeing her with a service dog and hearing her say she was sick too was what prompted my supportive comment to Jaquie. It is amazing how quickly your body bounced back with the feeding tube!! In the vlogs prior to the feeding tube you couldn't even get down the stairs with out almost passing out!! In this vlog you went to multiple stores, tried on clothes and shoes, and hung out with your friends!! I know it wasn't as easy and care free as you made it look but it was nice to see you out and about and enjoying your time with friends again!! Hopefully things will get even better once you are fully healed!!

Ugh jaquie im so ready for your wedding ive been telling everyone i know. its like a best friend is getting married. nice message on chairs! some days, i can walk no problem, other days i feel like im gonna fall over, other days i can stand, but not walk. doctors think i have EDS, and im pretty stoked we have an answer after almost two years of suffering without rhyme or reason. hoping to get a service dog when i move out in a few years, but i love seeing harlow doing such a good job!!

I am so excited for your upcoming marriage, Jaquie!!!! Btw, I was at DSW shopping for shoes for a wedding I was in, and I picked up the SAME pink/floral heels and bought them as a backup pair in case I couldn't find anything else. I liked them because of the shade of pink, and my bridesmaid dress was long enough to hide the floral back. You have good taste! :P I'm so thankful for your example of doing whatever you need to do for your health-- using a wheelchair, wearing a mask, etc! Thank you for being an example of being responsible for your health in the midst of strangers not understanding!

I can't wait to see the dress! I'm not chronically ill or anything but when I was pregnant with each of my children I had pre-eclampsia pretty bad. I couldn't walk 10 steps without my blood pressure shooting through the roof. So if I wanted to go anywhere I had to use a wheelchair. I never ran into more judgmental people than during those times. I just couldn't understand why it made others so angry for someone to take care of themselves...

One time I was in York (a town in England) with school but being a spoonie my mom had to pick me up early, we then stayed in a hotel. The next day we went giftshopping and I had to use our wheelchair, when I stood up in a giftshop, the other people in the store looked at me like they just saw a T-Rex! Though now I can kind of laugh about it, back then I was really uncomfortable with the whole situation... Anyways, have a GREAT wedding today, you deserve the best you can get❤❤

I have chron's and gastroparesis, and what used to help me sleep is in sitting up position. once I was too sleepy to even notice the pain that's when I would switch over to normal laying down position.

So much fun watching Har play with Orion, our pup Cinder tries at 5 months to play with our very old slow dog but she wants no part of it, so she finally tossed the ball in front of the old dog and it just sat there, the pup tried to get it but the old gal snarled viciously and she can't really see so the pup was careful, so finally the old gal sneezed and accidently hit the ball with her nose sending it flying, the pup jumped for joy and went after it like wow I got the old gal playing, then our old gal laid back down and slept by my feet. Pup went on with her self play until she wanted me in the act, victory for puppy and well earned nap for the old gal-lol..Thank you for the plug on wheel chairs. Uh, nice dress, I mean toes cuz that is all we could see-lol. Tramadol you want to be careful, if you push too much through it you will need more for the pain and you get into the vicious cycle of needed that med, so consider that in prayer please. Where did you find a Vog mask that filtered out germs? I've only seen them rated for allergies :(

Thank you SO MUCH for discussing how people use wheelchairs for different reasons. I look healthy, but I have fibromyalgia and my muscles are wasting away. I have a wheelchair and I get awful looks.
