HI ANGELS!
Inspired by beauty gurus full face of makeup I hate hauls, I am going on a shopping spree in stores I hate! Basically today is Opposite Day and I am doing a style swap makeover challenge with myself lol.
So here is my very extra shopping haul in stores I never shop in...
but since it is me I still have a good time and buy a lot - a true shopaholic lol

She is aware if it's been around and doing well then there's surely many people who HAVE that style or like them. And she's not wrong, it's all what u can pull off and work for you. There's tons of things I actually love but I'm aware like most what looks right on me. That's def changes sometimes depending on what stage or era of our life.

The satisfaction of finding something unique in a flea market , antique store or off the path store is the best feeling ever so I totally understand not understanding the very plain, neutral, 'clean' homeware stores

as a person who does own a few designer pieces, ive never understood why people are so obsessed with "resale value". whenever i buy things i feel like theyre a part of me now cus i dropped so much coin on them lmao. why does the resale aspect of it mean so much?

@@chelsea8357 it’s cuz if there’s no resale value there’s not much reason of spending so much on it. For example a heel that’s $600 but not a known brand loses its value once it’s worn but a LV heel still holds a good value. Why pay a lot for something that is the equivalent of paying $100 at another unknown brand

@@jazminyz but if i spend my own money on something, the first thing that comes to my mind isn't being ready to sell it in the future but rather treasure it and keep it forever. i guess everyone is different but i personally dont understand why resale value is so important. i bought an item because i like it, not because i can sell it for more or for the price i paid 20 years later.

The crazy thing is I actually love all these stores, and it hit home how completely opposite our styles are. Yet I’ve still been watching since the marble floor apartment days because Amber is just a joy to watch even if we like totally different things - Amber you’re clearly born to be an entertainer!

With the amazing natural sunlight you get into your house, you should DEFINITELY get into plants!! You’re such a great mom to your dog, so I can totally see you doing well taking care of plants

yess, she should get some succulents or Airplants! Airplants are my favorite, they do good even indoors in the dry alaskan winters. you can hang them from the ceiling and there's a wide variety of airplants to choose from. A floating airplant garden sounds MAJESTIC. (I think I might take my own advice.)

the home interior stuff at anthropologie might be up your street - they have some pretty ornate gold/brass mirror/side tables/decor! if you shop the website you can find it! there is a glass topped side table with a gold peacock base!

Because they're actually huaraches very common in Mexican culture but when they colonize the design it's ugly but they were designed by Mexican culture

This is so funny to me because I’m reflecting on how much I have evolved in my fashion and shopping. Once upon a time I was a girl who grew up in LA and was all about the glitz and glam and skimpy skampy I moved to a smaller city and now my fashion is everything Amber doesn’t like: flowy super pattern bright and comfy And I love that Amber doesn’t absolutely bash peoples fashion she just keeps reiterating it’s not *her* vibe and that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have you be *your* vibe.

Those fluffy crocs are my go to in winter to be out in the garden 😍 warm and slightly waterproof for the wet paths and patio ❤ and easy on and off

It's probably bcs of corona and people wanting to be comfortable as well as cottage core taking off. They also had some similar styles in the 60's and 70's so maybe it's coming back since we've seen other trends like flared trousers coming back from that period.

@@puudathemeow5593 I think it has more to do with alternative aesthetic taking off.. people like the laid back, nirvana style now and that’s tons of ripped up baggy clothing. It’s easy to wear and be comfy and still somewhat in style because if you do it correctly (not Kanye style) you end up looking like comfy cute.. more rocker style but laid back.

I used to wear Abercrombie and Hollister everyday back in the day lol 😂 I cant believe the style of clothes they sell now its nothing like when they were the most popular stores to shop at. If they still sold hoodies and stuff like they used to I would probably still buy some.

This is why even though I have certain tastes/preferences, I still will randomly go into every store because you just never know what's in there. I hate clothes from Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters but love the home decor. And most people like Pottery Barn for the furniture but I only go for the holiday stuff. Gotta be open minded!

I feel like I got my taste in fashion from you 😂. I’ve watched you for so long and after watching this video I just realized how much I’m like you.However, I always try to avoid stores like Hollister because the music is so loud and I just can’t think. I tried so hard to like crocs but I can’t. I wouldn’t be paying attention and would accidentally step in a puddle or something. Love you Amber!
