A very common situation that u will find during your practice is a patient walking in your clinic with a complaint of their crown being dislodged frequently.
Most often this happens in cases where there is inadequate occluso cervical height or a short clinical crown height. How can you Prevent this from hapening??
This video is the answer to that question and it talks about the techniques which I have been using successfully over the years to improve the retention of the crown on the tooth and prevent it from being dislodged.

You can place a single groove also on the proximal surface...but on both mesial and distal surfaces is better.

Due to attrition or fractured palatal cusp,if crown is short at palatal region can we do CLP only at palatal region

yes, it is possible to do CLP in the palatal region alone.

Have subscribed as your explanation are simple to understand and in the Indian context. You did not mention post and core placement as a possible option in the scenario discussed in the video. Is it an option? Pls comment. I am a patient not a dentist. These days patient also need to be well informed.

I have another question, if you do not mind. I saw some videos of crown placement done by US dentists. In the process of cutting and preparing the tooth for the crown, they place a cord into the recess around the tooth structure and did it every time. I have several crowns, but this was never done by any dentist in India. Could you throw some light on this please.

How much zirconia coasts? Are there variations with warranty...it’s my front teeth...which one will be. Best option...plz help

Zirconia is good...you can go for high translucent zirconia or emax crown for your front teeth...Layered zirconia is also a good option if the case demands.
