In this video I will show you how I did a quickweave on myself. The cut I chose was Mohawk into a short cut. I was running out of glue. I didn’t think that was going to make it to the end but I did 😥 I explained that I don’t use stocking caps and why. I hope you enjoy!

You did a fantastic job as I watched you from start to finish! I respect your choice for not using a stocking cap. Reason being, when a person has experienced doing something that does not work, it makes sense to use what works best. That saves time and money. I can remember the earlier days of first wearing quick weaves; both long or short. By the time the stylist was done, the style looked good on me but I had on a lot of stuff on my head- a plastic shower cap, paper neck strips, and a stocking cap all on top of a head full of braids! My head would itch, sweat and smell in a matter of days after getting it done. To each his own but I'm with you 100%. I learned I really don't need all that either for quick weave. Nowadays, at home, I simply oil my scalp and use protective gel. Thanks for sharing!

I do not like using stocking caps or wrap strips. My head would it and quick weave would only last a few days.

Yes it does but just like anything else…..don’t use to much. Just enough to say that it’s glue on the track. Thank you for watching! Take your time shampooing it out and it will come out. Promise!

Goodmorning so seen this twice and I love it but let me ask you something did you use the shortest for the back then the 4 and 6 9n top because I did the same and my back was to short u even brought the peanut clippers an they are great, now did you use the guard

Yes ma’am that’s exactly what I did… well next time try a little if the 6 at the nape and then start back with the 4 inches. Yes I used the guard on it… Thanks so much for watching

@@joyceweaver2832 I’m sorry!! Just seeing this.. are you asking about the guard or the hair? If the hair is to short… use the next length at the bottom to give a little length. The first 3 to 4 rows then go back down to the shorter length. Do the same at the side burns and then go back to the next length until it’s completed. I used the 1 inch guard everywhere that I tapered. I hope this helps

Stocking caps used its not what you do but how you do it before you put on the stocking cap you're gonna make sure that you wrap the hair with either paper or tissue (yes tissue) then you put the stocking cap on make sure to get a strong cap too and put it on the head that way when you're gluing the hair it doesnt mess the hair its something that my hair stylist does and when shes done i woukd wear the wig for around two days or maybe a week then i take it off i then remove whatever was used inside the stocking cap so you'll only see the cap its pretty easy you would like it trust me my hair never ever get glued

You might be allergic to the glue. However you can try the morning glory and just place the glue close to the edge of it but not on your skin. Make sure to get it cover good before applying the glue. Hope this helps. 💕💗

The key is to never use a lot of glue on the tracks. You want it to stay but not forever. Just a thin line will do. Once you get your hair wet and shampoo…. Take your time and work it out. It will slide right out. Thanks for watching.

Good question!!! I never count...now I will but for sure two small pieces for the side burns. Sometimes it just depends on how thick the track is. Some are very thin so you would use more to your liking. The main objective is to not see any tracks once you cut them down. Hope this helps.

@@joycedavis8231 I have never mastered the cap. The only time I was able to pull it off is when I made a wig from the cap. I use a plastic cap under the cap, glued, styled and the I pulled the plastic from the inside when I was done. Washing a unit that has glue will definitely cause your tracks to slide

Those hair feels itchy on your skin so i like mines on a cap so i can take it off whenever i feel the need to and my wigs stay long because i rotate it with other hair styles so i wouod have like three different types pixie wigs but i take them off when I'm ready

Understandable! I’m not a wig wearer! I can’t take the feeling of it being tight on my head or the fact that I can take it off. Cause I will do just that…. Take it off if I’m irritated with it. I have made videos with wigs but I own NONE! Just my preference I don’t like them and I don’t want to risk my edges or have a permanent circle around my head. Just not for me
