They should come out to Arizona. I’ve found three in the last month on my property. I used to see them ALL THE TIME when I was little. I haven’t seen ONE in the last 20ish years. Now three in the same month. I can’t tell you how excited I am right now!

@@Lushunsells bearded dragons are the most common reptile to own. They are also skinny (in comparison to horned lizards) and are native to Australia. Horned lizards are much smaller and nearly impossible to see as pets

I have some that live in my backyard and i sometimes catch them to say hi and then let them go. We have lots of ants so anytime around noon on hot days I just go near the mounds and I usually see one feeding. They are my backyard pets lol I even know where they live.

They are super cute, unfortunately in Southern California where I live the Horney Toad has become very rare. I used to see them all the time while hiking in the a Santa Monica Mountains 20+ years ago. I have not seen any in the past 10 years.

This sounds like an odd question, but what can I do to help or participate? Im always looking for reasons to herp aside from it being absolutely thrilling for me, despite the fact that Im certainly content observing herps on my own terms in my lonesome. Also, I've always admired the "horny toads" ever since I first saw Old Yeller, where the little boy used them as a form of currency, haha. I live in Roberts, I'm new to Montana, and I've already curated a list of "priority reptiles" that I want to encounter while I'm living my new life here. (These fellas are number 2!)
