I am not Catholic. But I am Greek orthodox Christian. I do not know very much about Padre Pio, but whenever I hear his name or read or see a video about him, I feel love for him and I can even feel how close he was and still is to Jesus.

@@walterweiss7124 Yes! Very great recommendation as Fr.Don Dolindo Ruotolo is referred to as "A Saint's Saintly Friend!" St.Padre Pio would tell Pilgrims from the Naples area: "Why do you come here when you have Don Dolindo in Naples? Go to him, he's a saint!" Fr. Dolindo, joyfully offered a prescription to those who came to him: "Divine remedy: divine obedience to the Will of GOD mixed with daily drops of the Hail Mary." He composed a novena of surrender to Jesus, based around the repetition of the simple phrase: "O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything!" It is miraculous!

@@timmurray5245 I understand!! I pray the divine mercy chaplet several times trying to rescue souls. Also the St Gertrude chaplet (50,000 souls released from purgatory) and the Golden Arrow Prayer part of the Holy Face Devotion. I just found out about the latter, you can register as member, St Therese of Liseaux (sp?) Was registered at age 12. It's so beautiful!!

Hey its nice to talk to someone like you about this, I feel awkward bothering our priest about too much, I know they're very busy guys but gracious and holy too. Thank you and God bless you too for your time. I do have questions about the "special graces" our Blessed Mother Mary mentions for us to ask for miraculous medal? What are they? I need every ounce of grace I can get!!!

My late Aunt had great devotion to St. Pio and visited San Giovanni Rotondo to see him twice a year from 1957 until she became to unwell to travel. She knew the clergy there well, particularly a Father Bill who was, I believe, American. He gave her items of clothing including a shawl and the mittens St. Pio wore while saying mass. MY family still has these relics of the saint. My Aunt took one of my younger brothers and my youngest sister to Italy to make their First Communion from Padre Pio himself.

I believe he is my favorite saint. I can recall seeing him walking through a church on his way to the confessional, with a line of penitents too long to photograph. Watching him celebrate Mass touched my heart deeply. I am now 81 and miss him as much as I kiss Pope St. John Paul II and St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta. I have been greatly blessed by living during their years on earth.

I'm Cyprian. Just celebrated St. Cyprian Feast Day on the 16th September. As we celebrate St. Padre PIO, I pray for gifts of Devotion to our Mother Mary through praying the rosary. I ask you Padre PIO for the gift of prayer and all the girls you received from the Holy Spirit and our Lord Jesus. As I approach my death, I pray for a peaceful death. Amen

I worked in Italy from 1967 to 1969. I read about Padre Pio and wanted to see him, but by the time I was able to go to San Giovanni Rotondo, he had died. I visited his tomb. I remember a simple stone coffin in a bare room. It was very moving.

How can one not cry in the presence of the Lord, it's a mix of emotion for a sinner like me: feeling unworthy, yet feeling so much loved, then feeling sorry for my sins yet so thankful for being given nth chances to live. Since I have chosen St Padre Pio as my spiritual father, not to mention he was randomly selected as my patron Saint for this whole year, I learned from his ways that it is more than fitting to give as much reverence and love for Jesus in the Holy Mass. Some people work out at the gym for 3 hours, but Padre Pio spiritually worked out for 3 hours at celebrating Mass, not to mention all the other hours throughout the day of prayer and living a Capuchin life, which is no day-to-day cake walk. Thank you, Jerome. This is so consoling and inspiring. I asked this holy man to be my spiritual Father when I was very young. He is so deeply paternal. Many decades have passed and my heart thrills to see or hear of him. He had a companion holy priest in the US, Father Leo F. McNamara, whose parish was in South Chicago. These two holy servants of God communicated supernaturally. God bless you for this beautiful tribute to a great saint.

Iam sorry. How a dead person can pray for you. no matter who he(saint/priest) is. He died. And in the grave.. But Jesus died and risen and who believes in Jesus will be saved ( and the saint didnt died for our sin but Jesus does). Bible clearly says who ever believes in Jesus will be saved and bible didnt say worship Mary( I respect her bcz she is an amazing lady that God chosen to gave birth to Jesus) or any saint/ priest. They cant do anything for your salvation only Jesus can do. Come out of the religious blindness brother/ sister. May the Holy spirit guide you to Jesus (the real king).

@@shintobinsuk8107 Correct 1 Timothy 2:5 For there's only ONE mediator between God and men....JESUS CHRIST!! When He died on that cross, the veil in the temple was torn in two....He has provided us direct access to the Father through Him alone, as He is the ONLY WAY!!!! Even Jesus Himself said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life". He is our advocate in heaven, our heavenly priest in the order of Melchizedeck. He has the only name under heaven by which we must be saved. We can go straight to the Father to repent and ask for forgiveness so that we may receive His grace and mercy and be washed clean by the blood of Jesus of all our unrighteousness. We need to put our trust in the finished work of the Lord Jesus on that cross. He is the atonement sacrifice for our sins, so that we may be reconciled to God the Father. Believe He died for us, was buried and rose again on the third day. Putting our trust in any people who have died previously so that they may intercede for us in heaven is absolutely non-biblical and not what Jesus taught. In fact, it's like saying that His sacrifice was not good enough and trying to find another way to reach God. Broad is the road that leads to destruction and narrow is the road that leads to everlasting life. Hope this message will bless someone. Repentance unto salvation is key, with a contrite heart. Don't wait for a priest to give you the last rites. Repentance must happen b4 a personal relationship with God. ♥ ♥ ♥

Padre is dead. The dead know nothing according to scripture. Ecclesiastes 9:5 Praying to the dead or asking the dead to pray for you is necromancy and is forbidden in the bible.

And bible clearly says: For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. ( which means Mary and other saints are in grave and they will rise( only if their name is written in his book) when Jesus come).

Padre Pio has been my favorite saint, I love these videos and take the 3 days of darkness to heart, esp the one on YT that is 3.03 min. long (I am sure I can't say who uploaded it) but it is beautiful. God bless all of us who love God or who want to. Padre Pio is still with us for those who pray - I am not Catholic (this lifetime) but I still love Padre Pio, recognizing him as a true lover of Christ.

When God's announcing falls upon a person you can't stop crying. God will give visions I had several of them and I am not Catholic I am a child of God a Christian. Our God is an awesome God I talk to him all the time. God will do things for you great or small. I have a problem of misplacing things but I now call upon the Lord to help me find them. Before I do I will turn places upside down looking for keys or my phone even my money. Every time I had asked God to put whatever I had lost to put it in a place I will find it. Anointing will fall upon me and I will sit down on it or just turn my head and see it. I have always find it and every time it always blows my mind of how awesome God really is.
