im 17 and tbh this type of content and people reminds me of my grandmother, she actually CARED for me. it reminds me of people giving advice thats not Made For Kids but helps us either way because its your experience. dont cater to youth, say what needs to be said, when someone needs to hear it and is ready they'll listen.

just a little suggestion if ur kids are young plz teach them that the stuff u draw on the bread are made with special and non toxic pencils that are edibal and wont hurt them, otherwise they might start drawing on food with normal sharpies and could get ink poisoning

I would bet money her kids already know. I bet she let them help her with baking so the kids have used those pens before. She sounds sarcastic, but you can tell she is all about her family. They are her world so too speak. I do think if a parent has just started using them then they should show their kids the difference.

@underurbed277 Maybe, I know as a mom myself I would tell my kids the same thing over and over if they were really young. It helps solidify a thought into those young brains. I know I am not the only mom to do that. I would hazard a guess that this mom does that as well. Children aren't stupid. They will learn. They also can't always be babied and wrapped in cotton wool. I think in most cases, we need to let parents, parent, and kids need to be kids. We as strangers should mind our own Ps and Qs as my mom would have said.

@@haleywood8040yea but it’s still not a good thing to just LET them do. kids are curious, and knowing they won’t get poisoning if they ate it drawn on bread, they might just eat the ink straight from the source.

When I was younger, I would always lick the glue on the mail. So when I was about to get out of pre-school I took a Elmer’s glue stick and started licking it like a lollipop. My teacher rushed over to me and took it away from me. We had a big conference about safety and stuff.

As a 23 year old who wants to be a parent someday, I appreciate this type of content. My parents have put me through a lot of trauma and I want to learn how what and why it hurt me so I can be a better parent and prevent the cycle of abuse. Your videos comfort me a lot. Someday I hope to have my own lil ball of sunshine to take care of and love unconditionally the way they deserve.

I hope you come back to this comment in a decade and laugh so hard. Every 16-year-old thinks they are basically an adult already, but I promise you aren't. You'll have a "coming to moment" around 20. All very developmentally normal!

@@Username0467 Maybe for some people but I was forced to grow up at a very young age. At 11 years old after my grandma passed away I was taking care of a newborn, a 5 year old, and a 10 year old, cause my mom was a really bad alcoholic. She woke up, went to work, came home, drank, and repeated. 2 years before that I took the blame for everyone my siblings did, so my abusive stepdad would only hit me, instead of my younger siblings who were only 3 and 8. Now I'm 17 years old and me and my 16 year old sister taking care of my 11 and 6 year old siblings, cause we're homeless and my mom is working all the time to try to get us a house. My job is to make sure they have food to eat, to hand wash clothes for them for school, Wake up early and walk my siblings to their bus stop, make sure they shower and brush their teeth when they can, and make sure they go to sleep on time for school the next day. I do all of that on top of being homeschooled. The hardest part is that I have autism, ADHD, social anxiety, SPD, PTSD, Epilepsy, Bipolar 1 disorder, and Apraxia of speech. Yeah I know technically I'm not grown, but if that doesn't seem like I'm more grown than a 17 year old then I don't know what does. I've done and been through more than most people who are in their early 30s. I'm not gonna come back and laugh at that comment one day, because it's completely not true.

@blakeexaviar9370 that is way too much to cope with for your age and I'm really sorry that you were forced into such a role. While I would say I've not been abused I have been exposed to abusive behaviours growing up and had been bullied for years it definitely does something to you and makes you grow up faster as a coping mechanism for all of it which isn't right as tweens and teens need to experience age appropriate things. Keep your chin up, ignore any naysayers about it and most importantly try and find even a little bit of time to find things you enjoy to help distract yourself from it. I also might advise seeing if you can go to a doctor or a therapist and try to get assessed for PTSD as it's becoming increasingly more common in youth and young adults who often have parents who are abusive alcoholics or drug accdicts and the like

Youre absolutely not a bad or even just ok mom. Youre a fantastic mom, because a big chunk of the battle in being a great mom is actually trying. Not all parents, try, nor do all people try in general, as is human nature ig. But youre doing great. Dont let people get you down ❤

I found your page when I was quite far away from home, having to make lunch for myself daily and head off to uni to be on time. I'd watch your videos as I packed my own 'lunch', which due to a barging on beans I saw at my unis local shops was beans for about 6 weeks, breakfast, lunch and dinner, just beans. It was not the best food, but it did the job. It was nice seeing you pack lunches for your kids, how it seemed you didn't care what people said about the food you packed them, or their reactions to your humour as you packed them. It was nice, as lonely as it sounds anyway. I dropped out of that course, and moved back home, jumped around workplaces and 'careers' for a bit before applying to a uni closer to home, doing a teaching degree now, nearly made it through my first year which is nice. I'm also eating better than just beans, granted I'm making my own food, but my parents buy the stuff they used to pack in my lunch so I can make it up the way they used to. They didn't believe me when I said I survived off of beans. It's ridiculous, but that shop had a sale. You could buy 6 boxes of 12 for £6, after buying them, I realised I then had to carry them up 2 giant hills but made it. Idk, I don't have many friends, I'm- I wouldn't say anti-social, but I guess that's the best way to describe it. Just hearing and seeing someone do something so simple yet sweet for their kids made me happy and kept me going. So, uhm, thanks :)

Hey, you are already one of the best mom's in my book, i would have loved to get that lunch 😊 and coming from a disfuncional family myself were my mother was a single parent with very low income (we were poor😅) i loved it how my mom did everything in her power to make sure i had something to eat at lunch, there were even times when we had nothing and she had to go work some random job in a day and go look for me at lunch time so she would make sure i would eat, even if it was a small bag of grapes i remember those moments fondly to these day😊 so im sure your child knows how much you love him and they feel grateful to have such a kind mom. I found you when I was either 16 or 17, I'm now 18. I felt jealous that your kids get meals like this. I mean I get my parents couldn't. I got lunch lunchables two times a week.
