@@LoLmp4 I think he was actively being antagonistic the whole movie. It's probably common knowledge you wet the sponge so it goes faster as well. Him intentionally not wetting the sponge negates any reaction he has after that. looking away doesn't indicate he's remorseful just he doesn't want to witness the consequences of his own actions. You can be fearful and evil. You can be sadistic and have limits.

This movie has made me cry every time I’ve watched it from this scene where the guard purposely tortured this man merely cuz he wanted to and then to see the prisoner get burned from the inside out while feeling it all to the end and to see someone so innocent who only tried to do good to then ask the guards to not be covered when it happened bcz he’s afraid of the dark and then have the guards hesitate and cry when going to put him down 😔
