Funny, nice trick problem. Stopped this thing to figure it out...substitution was going nowhere, then noticed there were 2a, 2c and two b's lol.

7=2a+b 23=b+2c _________ -2a=b-7, 2a = -b+7 -b = 2a-7, b= -2a+7 -2c=b-23 2c= -b+23 ________ 2a=2a-7+7 2a-2a=-7+7 0=0 ...... Uhhhhhh, I'll roll with it b= -2a+7 b= b-7+7 b-b = -7+7 0 = 0 Okay... if this last number is 0 I am screwed. 2c = -b+23 2c = -2a+7+23 2c = b-7+7+23 2c = 0-7+7+23 2c = -7+7+23 2c = 0+23 2c = 23/2 c = 11.5 x = (a+b+c)/3 x = 11.5/3 = 3.833333333... Damn it! Uhh, I'll go with A.

Add both equations without cancelling anything= 2a+2b+2c=30 ÷equation by 2 =A+b+c=15 Average a+b+c/3 =15/3 =5
