This has become one of my all time favorite interpretations of the concerto from this century! I hope to hear more from this fine orchestra and this amazing cellist! By the way, that recovery from the memory slip was insanely impressive! I wish I had the skill to get out of moments like that with such grace.

Wunderschöne und spannende Aufführung dieses neoklassischen und perfekt komponierten Konzerts mit tiefem doch gut phrasiertem Ton des genialen Solovioloncellos sowie gut vereinigten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen der anderen Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und echt lyrisch. Im Kontrast klingt der letzte Satz echt lebhaft und auch überzeugend. Der intelligente und geniale Dirigent leitet das hoch funktionelle Orchester im veränderlichen Tempo und mit möglichst effektiver Dynamik. Wundervoll und atemberaubend zugleich!

A superb performance by a brilliant soloist. I also thought the horn player was perfect. This was my first experience with your orchestra, but I will be back! Many thanks from San Francisco.

New to me, Mr Elschenbroich surprised me with a faultless rendition of one of the most beautifully and poignant cello concertos I know. I hope to hear from him more often. What about Walton's, so rarely played? The orchestra sounds great and well balanced.
