Really enjoyed watching this interview. Bill and I flew EF-111s together at Mt. Home. It brought back a lot of memories of a great fighter pilot and better man.

"BA" was a classmate, warrior, thinker, teacher, and a wonderful human being--this video is a great snapshot of who he was and what he did. I and many others are grateful to have known him. The good he did--in peace and war--will spread out for a long time, like ripples in a great calm pond. I salute you, friend!

I was a crew chief at Mtn Home when BA was our Squadron Commander in the 389th FS and was chosen to be his Crew Chief when he became the 366th Operations Group Commander. We were together when he flew his first mission back into Iraq. He was always an inspiration and a one of a kind leader especially to us in the enlisted ranks. He had such passion in all he did. When ever I need direction or inspiration I still look to him for guidance. RIP Sir, you are still in our hearts and minds

As a retired Army Aviator, it’s just as important to be honest with yourself. Owning up to mistakes equally and openly as your successes. Sounds simple, but keeping humble and honest, I found there was always room for improvement in every aspect of my duties as an Officer and Aviator.

Thank you Colonel for your service and example that you shared with us. What you shared can be utilized by non-airmen and teams, especially my team. Honesty, trust, communication, duty is undervalued in the work place. Many, many thanks sir.

Just watching this interview tells me I could trust this hero with my life. He is so calm and humble delivering this story of his. You sir are a complete god of war, the countless infantry lives you saved by dispatching the enemy troops or just forcing them to retreat is something you should be so proud of. Amazing work, amazing guy and a true hero of the people. I salute you and all that have served for their country. Your all walking Angels in my eyes. God bless everyone of you.

I don’t know but when he spoke about duty it reminded me of a conversation between Lee and Scott and it went something like this. General Lee, I am willing to give you command of the Army of the Patomac. General Scott, my duty is with Virginia. Then General Lee you leave me no choice but to turn your Plantation into a cemetery for IT IS MY DUTY……my duty

Billy was our S.R.O. going thru LIFT in the 433rd T.F.T.S. (Satan’s Angels) at Hollomon AFB N.M., Nov. 1984-Feb.1985. A Patriot, a really good man, and a terrific officer who became a great Fighter Pilot & Leader. Our Class Photo is one of my prized possessions ! And now he’s joined up with the Great Fighter Pilot in the sky….”Off we go into the wild blue yonder climbing high into the sun….” !

@@mikemurphy9960 Agreed, RIP. That interview was taped in 2011, and he passed away in 2015. Sometimes people re-post older videos that are worth looking at, in order to get fresh views. Unless you seek the source production out, you may not realize how old the content is, unless it's mentioned in the credits or description. This one is timeless for now, as we're still in the generation that directly remembers stuff like 9/11, and the subsequent "war on terror" that lasted all the way until it we left Kabul on August 21st, 2021.
