The AICS is overpriced for today’s market. I can say that because I own one. The Magpul Pro 700 has excellent features for a good price point. Assuming the QC and reliability is good, it will be a better alternative to the AICS. But even then, I am an MPA fan and would gladly trade my AICS for another MPA BA chassis.

James Autry because most people who buy savages are budget minded. I've got 3 of them. I'm also not going to put a $1k stock on a $400 rifle. If you're spending $1k on a stock you're going to use a custom action, which is almost always a 700 pattern.

skankhunt42 Yeah I know. Everyone has a 1k yard rifle that shoots 0.1 moa on the internet. But in reality, if every $400 Savage rifle shot 1/2 moa every time the "precision rifle" market wouldn't exist and gunsmiths would be out of a job. They don't. Sounds like you've got a fine rifle, my Savage 10T shoots about as well with 185gr Berger Hybrid Target handloads. Doesn't make my statement any less true.

To be fair, he said "most people". So most people with savages will not opt to spend a ton of money on their rifle. There are always exceptions. The 700 pattern Magpul stuff is also for the custom action guys, and they spend lots-o-money.

I agree. But this isn’t a polymer chassis. It is an aluminum chassis with some polymer parts. 😉
