Years ago Greg Ellifritz wrote an article summarizing his findings of evidence room guns. He concluded that 41% of criminally used firearms were non-functional due to not being loaded, loaded with wrong ammo, or just being so mechanical broken they couldn’t be made to fire as is. With your background, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

The Foxtrot Mike barrel is interesting, but having to heat the receiver to install or remove it is not my idea of user-friendly.

A blued Python is something I've been expecting from Colt since the new stainless guns were first announced. If they'd offer Elliason sights as an option I'd seriously consider buying one, but not until then.

Aero's new stuff looks nice and if you've got NV there's some welcome new options in the laser arena, but at this point in time I'm ready to mock anyone bringing a straight blowback 9mm PCC to market.

I'd love to see a Zastava m77 with a 16 or 18" barrel. I'm thinking about buying the 20" version and taking it to my gunsmith. I'm thinking about having him cut it down to about 17" and re-thread it it and move the front sight back so I can still use it. Since it has an adjustable gas block I don't imagine any issues would arise chopping the barrel down 2.7"

That would just be a regular Zastava m70. All zastava aks use an rpk style thick trunnion. The only difference between the m70 and that m77 IS the barrel.

Don't think so buddy. 308 vs 762x39. Different beasts, different roles. Although, a 20" barrel is much better for a 308.

The Foxtrot Mike one piece barrel, does the gas tube take the brunt of the wear at the gas block? How much wear in a traditional gas block is there before the barrel is considered worn out?

It’s not the gas block that wears. The internal gas port erodes from fire cutting

@@SmallArmsSolutions I wonder what problems will arise when they are out in people's hands. A very cool looking barrel but if it causes erosion it'll start over-gassing and need some sort of fix like the PMM gas jets for the SCAR.

Classic Firearms spent some time at the Knight’s Armament booth looking at their new products. The Classic guys didn’t ask the KAC guys about price points. I’m sure that was intentional. Their poker faces aren’t that good.

Didn't see much of anything that sparks my interest!!!! What is the deal with everyone still releasing a 9mm blow back pcc?? I bought my Diamondback 9mm AR blow back PCC 7+ years ago.... Either DB is a great fortune teller to make that PCC or the rest of the companies are so large and full of themselves to actually innovate me products that aren't simply a me too firearm. It's not sad, it's pitiful!!! To barrow the words of our oldest and "most experienced" President, COME ON MAN!!!! Sorry you wasted your time going to the Show, but hopefully you spent your time in Vegas doing something else and much fun. I can't imagine having to work in one of those booths for hours every day for the days the show lasts...

Did he say "ring delayed blowback" ? What is that ? This will be interesting so long as it's not the thousandth direct blowback pcc. The market has too many of them as is, but people keep making more like it's a niche they needs to be filled.

He may be talking about chamber ring delay, which is a weird old timey delay method. A ring is cut in the chamber that the brass expands into which slows the blowback. Really odd.

@@markp4401 Yeah, the only currently produced firearm that I know of that uses it is the seecamp pistols, and they aren't really known for reliability, but they are tiny pocket guns.

It is a circular groove cut inside the chamber that allows brass cases to form a noticeable bulge around the center. This is supposed to delay extraction and therefore allow a lighter bolt to soften recoil. Reloaders beware, it's possible it may stress the empty cases too much for you. I am curious to see what it does to steel cases.

@@Paladin1873 If those steel cases are anything like the steel cased .357 rounds a relative is using up, they will split into those rings. The .357 cases have to be driven out of the revolver cylinder with a stick.
