I like this signing for 2 reasons. First, it gives the Cubs a good swing-and-miss starting pitcher with a proven track record (which I think will translate in the MLB, perhaps after a brief transition period). Second, ot gives the Cubs a second lefty in the starting rotation.

I like it too. I think it's good value for what they're getting. I genuinely am concerned however about how he does against the NL Central. Not his first rodeo against a bunch of righties I'm sure though
