Handy hint for you, 3:12 onward, if you wish to move an anchor point off-screen, try changing the zoom level to 10% on the preview screen. The anchor point becomes selectable despite being off-screen, which is super useful.

Do you mean you want to put the same text on two different video clips? In that case, select the second video clip from the source monitor and put it on the timeline next to the first video clip. Then you can increase the length of the text clip till it covers the second video clip. Hope this helps. Let me know 😊

You can find animated subscriber templates or transparent video on websites like - Canva or Envato Elements. You can download them and edit them in Shotcut.

Thanks! You can google for 'Franklin gothic font' for free download. For more and secure font download I generally use 'Dafont' site - www.dafont.com/ Hope that helps.

Hi Sanketa! Your video is very nice. I had encreased the text in size, position and rotate filter 1000%. It doesn't disapper fully. Can you tell me a solution? Thanks, Peter.

Thanks! It's little tricky with the Shotcut as it won't allow you to increase the scale more than 1000%. You will need to figure out which letter of the word is thick enough to cover the whole Frame. Move the anchor around to figure it out.

If you don't have that font then you can download it from internet... just look for 'franklin gothic-heavy font free download'. You can also check out this site for many free fonts - www.dafont.com/

I am grateful for this tutorial. My video background is dark, and I think the text background would look better if it were white. When I select white during the color selection, it just makes the background clear. How can I get it to be actually white, instead of black?

@@VerticalDots Thank you for reading, let me try to explain better. In your video, the background screen around the text is black. I would like that background to be white. When I select white with the dropper, the system seems to read that command as clear, so the only way you can make out the text is if there is an outline. So I'd like to create a shot with video playing inside the text, with a white background around the text. I hope that is more clear.

@@1stuart1 okay, got your point. Unfortunately, once you apply chroma key effect it makes all the video tracks which are below it as transparent.

@@VerticalDots Not to belabor the point, but I found I can make the background around the text any color in the pallet, except for pure white. It sounds like that is just a function of the Chroma key where it uses white as the selection for transparent, then white is no longer available as the background color. Do you know of a work around? For further clarification, I wanted to use white as the surrounding color because the video that was playing inside the text was darker, so it would look better surrounded by white. I think I ended up using the lightest shade of blue that I could as a substitute. Either way, thank you for your excellent videos and responding to my question. Cheers. :)

Yes. If you increase the distance between two keyframes, it will be a slower animation. Vice-versa if you decrease the distance between two keyframes, it will be a faster animation.

It's called audio ducking. Yes, you can apply Gain/ volume filter on audio and use keyframes to duck background music while the person is talking. I will surely make a tutorial on this topic soon. :)

There's no shortcut in Shotcut. You have to drag a clip into the viewer first, set the in and out points, then save it, then drag the clip onto the timeline. Now you don't have to edit the clip twice incase you somehow loose it on the timeline due to some reason because it's saved in the Playlist.

I am really interested in this video but I cannot understand what you are saying. You speak too fast and with your accent it is really difficult to understand what you are saying. Remember, most of your viewers will not be professional shotcut users and will look at these videos to learn different aspects of this app. You need to give more consideration to your viewers and SLOW DOWN!!!!
