Junior Walker was a great musician. Around 1980, Foreigner hired him to perform the saxophone solo for their upcoming single, “Urgent”. They got along so well, Walker joined the band for their tour that year.

I saw Junior at the Ann Arbor Blues Festival in maybe 1971. For a while he played sax while lying down on the stage.

James Jamerson actually played bass on the original recording in 1964. But In other appearances Vic Thomas (the organist) was playing bass with the Hammond B-3 peddles.

There is no bass player. The organist is playing the bass with the peddles. The guy next to Jr Walker singing also is on an electric guitar.
