There are 8 GENS that spawn in total on the map you only need to complete 5. Once all 5 are done 2 EXIT GATES ARE POWERED and their locations are BRIEFLY revealed to you. There are usually around 8 to up to 25 PALLETS that spawn depending on the map. DROPPING PALLETS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE KILLER temporarily stuns the killer. (Look behind you while you run to hit it on time). While running you leave behind a TRAIL OF GLOWING RED SCRATCH MARKS that depict the GENERAL direction you are running in not exactly where your running, they fade away after 10 seconds. There are also VAULTS, usually has a yellow tarp over it or its some kind of small window. YOU CAN PARKOUR THROUGH VAULTS WHILE RUNNING, the killer can only move through the VAULTS slowly if they decide to VAULT. They usually don't. RUNNING THROUGH A VAULT WILL NOTIFY THE KILLER of your location. ANYTIME you miss a skill check the killer is notified of where you are, this includes HEALING, GENS, etc. Hit your SKILL CHECKS. Don't run out of a locker or into a locker the killer is notified of your location. You can be hit twice, first hit gives you a small speed boost but puts you in INJURED STATE. Second hit knocks you to the ground. DONT TAKE CHANCE ON HOOK its on a timer and when the red bar passes halfway you go into SECOND HOOK STATE. ALWAYS SAVE OTHER SURVIVORS BEFORE THEY GO INTO SECOND HOOK STATE!!! (before red bar passes halfway). When survivors die the game becomes much harder to win so always heal and go for hook saves! Welcome to DBD GLHF! P.S. if you want to learn how to play the game faster play a few games as killer so you can see how survivors finesse.
