Social media leads to being a lover of self

I’ve been binge watching KZfaq videos of why you should delete social medias and Christian perspectives as well. This is one out of two Christian perspective videos I’ve seen so far that has actually made me think deeply about the moral, spiritual, and ethical questions I should be evaluating when analyzing my social media use. I think this is the video that really prompted me to take the leap of faith and delete it all. I want out. Thank you for bringing my attention to my heart. Your arguments are more compelling than the list of physiological reasons why social media is detrimental. Thank you and God bless.

I just deleted Instagram, it's not doing any good for me, all I see is nakedness through out the application. God forgive me for my Sins, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

4 concerns: 1. moral authority 2. exposing your heart too 3. communication 4. stewardship of time a. relationship with God b. relationship with family and family of God c. life of labor

I can't understand why we have all these social media apps and still be disconnected at the same time?

People don't bother with each other anymore.......sad, it's too much work. It's destroying humanity.

God was very clear that I was spending to much time on FB and not enough time with him. I let FB go I pray my husband will do the same. I feel so disconnected from him as I watch him scroll away the evening.

I have been broadcasting on social media for around 13 years. On KZfaq I did IN THE VAN, with a 70’s style van. Most my viewers were non church attendees , it was an awesome way of outreach. Now I’m doing a Facebook live Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. What I find the most fruitful is when you run into people out in public and they find out how real we can be. I’m not an actor or performer. I’m me. The downside to social media I fear is people will get to a place where they just tune in to broadcast and sacrifice the fellowship of the assembly. Yes - followers of Jesus should be on social media and anyone who says differently while saying that belief on social media is hypocritical.

Unfollowed someone without bad intentions behind it, just cleaning my feed. Haven't talked to her for 10 years and only met her twice. I think I hurt her in some ways. . . She clearly was stalking me cause she found out. Decided to just deactivate cause Instagram is not bringing me closer to God.

People think serving God is a check list I gave to the poor - check I gave to the Church - check I said my Prayers - check Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

I have just discovered Ted Tripp and I see Paul popping up. I thought he changed his name or something because they look almost identical. I was literally trippin 😏 I googled it and they are brothers lol
