Thank you for this, I have a cricket but not pulled it out because it only work with a PC not got one anymore it died and just not gotten around to setting up the new one yet😹😹 for over a year🙀🙀🙈🙈 I have been needing to make some labels and small items so thus is perfect and I can use my iPad in place of my iPhone and best of all it’s on sale right now so saving over $100 on it is well worth it. These items always cost heaps in Australia, so I’m for ever thinking twice and then rethinking one more time before I commit to purchasing anything. I’m quite happy with putting it sideways to get things to fit 😹😹so for once I’m not talking myself out of buying it. And just maybe I will get around to setting up the replacement PC before next year😹😹😹😹

I'm so glad it was helpful. I really love the fact that I can just use my phone. I have an old Silhouette Cameo which only worked with the computer and it was such an effort to set it up each time that I just didn't bother. Now I just grab out the Joy and it's so quick. That's an awesome saving too. Harvey Norman often have sales on the Cricut stuff and sometimes Spotlight but not as often as we'd like!

Not seen here, or maybe I just wanted to put emphasis on my requirement, is the ability to print words either by default patterns in some database? or the opposite: entirely my font, my size, my colours. In other words if I wanted to use a sentiment/phrase that was peculiar to a card, can I do this? I guess there might also be costs involved in updating software (for the images etc) ?

You can upload your own images into the design software too. I’ve created things in Canva and saved as an SVG or PNG with transparent background to do this

I make cards and would love to create my own sentiments when I need something special. Is this easy to do with the Cricut Joy?

Definitely! You can create your own designs and text or upload files too. It can write or cut the text.

Does the print get up to 5.5” or is it 5 inches? Thanks! Short and to the point.

@@arizonajo2791 Thank you. It's actually 4.5" on the short side but you can rotate your designs around on the mat to make it work with longer designs at least. Not great for big t-shirt designs but perfect for cards and smaller projects. Or even Tshirts where you can separate the elements. There is a new version, Cricut Joy Xtra and it's pretty much perfect. Wider and not drastically more expensive.

I've just brought the Cricut Joy, still learning the ropes.. please correct me if I'm wrong 😂 As far as I have learned so far most scripts have a min hight of 0.5 mm. So yes pretty small, good for key chains definitely.

@@PosidenSiren are you satisfied with a Cricut joy? Because I need it for really small vinyl stickers but I did not see any on youtube of pinterest that is made with a Cricut joy
