In my opinion it depends on how it’s being used. There’s a time and place for everything. I think the teacher should take the phone away during work, during recess I think you should be allowed to use it. Of course during testing it should not be allowed.

if a student stay in school from morning 07:00 to evening 5:30 and were not allowed to play games as it should be and school worker or a teacher harass a student and they were not allowed to use office phone. then it is required to have a personal phone.

It really depends if we have a phone or not but that can also be wrong.

I got to k12 and we're not allowed to have cellphones out.If we have them out then we'll get them taken away.

It's always difficult to defend the argument which is something not in use currently.. I personally feel " cell phone can be a boon or bane depending on its operation", but, if we judge by the arguments and counter-responses the girl opposing the motion is having an upper hand here.. When entering classroom and class activity is on going, its better to turn off for a moment our mobile phone during class hours in respect for our proffesor.

I bring my phone to school in case I need to call my parents. And I use it on the bus so I don't have to talk to children.

Self phone should be ban... because these are decreasing our memorising power as well because we are indulging in that small *cell* and escaping from which it is very hard... student will remain away from their basic need..like physical education and moral too. As my dear said that they can share class notes and audio then what is the basic need to come school...only one student can come and can send audio or notes to others...by doing this we will remain away from the basic need to go school....teacher and student also distracted by using phones....and the biggest bulky thing i want to pressurise that if we start looking our elders then we come to know that our memorising power is going decreasing....they could memorise a lot of poems,granthas,upnishdas etc orally.But i personally feel that using self phone at school at home mean that in excess we will not be able to express ourself... because we will express the self phones
