In Nigeria it is even difficult to get job as a medical officer in Federal Medical Centers, Teaching Hospitals and state hospitals. If we hold this doctors for 5yrs will the law guarantee their automatic employments? The law also should be enacted to make it compulsory for political office holders to patronize only Nigeria hospitals viaout their tenure.

Hi Adeola, my family is a big fan❤ When you hear these our so called leaders speak at times, you begin to wonder what effrontery😂😂 Stinking words (òrò rírùn)😅 They're complaining about young Nigerians leaving for greener pastures when they have literarily made our fertile nation a dessert with class-limited amenities. Some of us that are going against all odds to breakthrough, they want to choke us with hidden charges we can not come to the public to talk about. All professions except terrorism have suffered a great loss in the hand of our leaders. However, you are doing a great job on your channel.... Shoutout ❤ to every other resilient young and old Nigerians that are not giving up despite everything.

You are right. For teaching the kids, it is best to teach them before they are five. Don't ever think anything is too complicated for them to soak in at those ages, you would be shocked when they grasp it. Proven in my child. knew its alphabets and number and colors and many things by two years old. He could do additions and subtractions at same age. Buy out time to teach from the day they were born. They will bring you joy, so much joy.

What is the salary of the House of Rep members? What are their education qualifications? How much do they spend on Forex towards medical bills? Where are the hospitals & equipment to let the doctors do their job. Abeg, anybody don see oxygen in nja hospitals? If govt funds doctors education , in fairness govt should give a condition for receiving such funds. But to issue blanket ban, I guess doctors should challenge the act in the courts.

The first law to be passed should be that for the next 8 years (ie. two terms of politics), no Nigerian Politician nor family member should travel out of Nigeria for medical purposes and on leave too (so there is no temptation for medical check up). Once they prove honestly that they can survive this, the next 8 years should be spent proving that foreigners now come to Nigeria for medical purposes! After these 16years, then doctors and various professionals should address the Government and public!

How does Nigeria enforce the law if passed? Will they prevent all doctors from going overseas for vacation? If not, one could go for a vacation and decide not to return to Nigeria
@adebankechristellevogt2964
@adebankechristellevogt2964 Жыл бұрын
. It’s a bit more complex than simply saying “you’re going on vacation” as an excuse to leave the country. The visa is one of them. I didn’t go to school in Nigeria, but my best friend did. In the States, to apply for residency or for a fellowship, which is a specialty training, you need documents that come directly from your medical school uploaded into ERAS before you apply for the”match”. The same thing applies when one is also applying for their medical license. The FCVS (federal credentialing and verification system) will be the ones requesting the documents from the medical school. Unfortunately, if the bill is passed, then they have to work in Nigeria for 5 years. That’s if they’re planning to work in the states. I’m not sure how it works in other countries.

Adeola maybe you can use your channel to champion the movement to bringing that Medical tourism bill (maybe should be renamed Medical patriotism Bill) back to prevent Nigerian leading politicians from going overseas for treatment. That bill can do a lot to increase medical professionals salaries because politicians would have to take national health care seriously. I agree the new bill to restrict Doctors to serve for 5 year before license makes sense as Nigeria has to start ensuring we do not lose too much of our brains. Its part of why the country has not developed. In the end, we have to take charge and campaign for one thing at a time.

Pls all those that voted for APC and are disgruntled with this bill should go to court. Instead of APC government thinking out of the box. Why don't we export doctors. Why don't we invest in the educational infrastructure and scholarships for students willing to study medicine in Nigeria. We can tax their income abroad when they begin working overseas. I know many brilliant secondary school students that passed jamb and waec in flying colors that couldn't pursue medicine as a career because of costs and no connection to get on the admission list. So instead of this government that is bereft with ideas to take advantage of the situation , they decided to kill the potentials just like how they kill all innovative potentials in Nigeria
