I will not say 100% but the problem is once a Person from Country A comes in as department head, one will see the Singaporeans in his department will be slowly removed and replaced with people from his whole village. This is happening and as Singaporeans this is very sad and alarming... ...and demoralizing...

But this stupid man doesn't understand. The damage he did is irreversible. Hope the new PM will not repeat what he did.

Yes fully agrees with you . When my company accepted another investor pumping in money to buy a significant stake, they starts doing that and been causing chaos . My department was top of the target and almost hit hard until the HOD turned the table and side lined those “imports” from a nation self proclaimed super power. The reason why we remain untouchable because my department generated almost 35% of the entire company revenue each year as simply not easy to replace. However if situation doesn’t change and getting worst , my HOD are prepared to packed and go , people like us whom have served under this HOD shortest time 8 years and mostly 10 years and above will follow suit . He is quite a respectable and well known figure in our industry which often got head hunted , so including some admin and accounting, we are ready on the move .

@@50centswarlord OMG! Few of my friends faced the problems in their face, seeing a department or their department slowly being replaced by colleagues from the same home town and Singaporeans were being asked to leave...the feelings is like we are being a second class citizens in our own Countries. The feeling is very sad...and people feel so helpless and shocked...

Exactly and it happens many years ago . I don't see why our authorities did not see it. I have worked with few so called foreign talents who are degree holders unfortunately they cant really performed . We don't need paper Foreign Talent , we need Foreign Talents with real talents who can transferred their technologies to us or we can learn from them

What I am concerned is that whatever talents you bring in, are they able to share knowledge with the locals? If they are just working within their own circle of nationality, there is no knowledge pass over, what will be the price Sg has to pay for the next generation?

I would rather use "China-Chinese", "India-Indian" etc instead of "Chinese-Chinese" or "Indian-Indian". Anyway, my personal experience with those FT working in IT industry is negative, they lacked in almost every aspects which I don't see any value except they r very "economically affordable". Apologies for my blunt comment.

If foreigners are here to teach and share, why not? But they seem to be taking on jobs and it has been really challenging for Singaporeans, especially the jobless ones. Even if one has upskilled and still not the chosen one. What is the actual solution to this ongoing problem?

On one hand, the word ' foreign talent ' is needed, on the other hand, Singaporean graduates are facing job employment issues. 'Foreign talent', once they lost their job, within 3 months, if still unemployed, will be repatriated home. Is this what foreign talent is called????

Thanks to opposition parties, you all lower the risk of Groupthink which is dangerous and costly. A very valuable contribution of Opposition parties is to point to the blind spot the ruling party has failed to attend to. E.g. Why did SMRT ended up neglecting its maintainence? How can we learn from the failures of some failures of Temasek investments and bad CEO appointed due to nepolism? However, We got to be fair, Singaporeans do think PM LSL has forged a bigger and brighter future for this nation. Watched political talk shows in Asians...Singapore government in terms of housing, job creations, protecting the Singapore econ from the adverse affects due to world econ. , dealing with other countries in - international relationship... they are doing a great job. But they need to improve on the " soft-ware" , low birth rate, depression raising, high Senior Suicidal Rate, youth 's lost of identity,

To the new PM: Singapore needs to groom adequate 'local talents' to occupy crucial posts BEFORE the consideration of 'foreign talents'. Not Chinese-Chinese, but Singaporean Singapore.

If emperor is surrounded by bootlickers and those who never speak up when wrongs are done, loyal people will not be around, the state of nation is in decay and serious danger. And we also know what kind of emperor he is or how muddleheaded he is in using people.

2.Of Course they should be afraid as 1. It has boosted the support level for the PAP 2. Singapore has become overly crowded with our living and recreational spaces and jobs taken by foreigners. Take ICA it is overly staffed by Malaysian Chinese. No attempt had been made to our replacement rate of locals through various incentives and benefits. The PAP took the easy way out to garner and boost their support levels to keep them in power without challenge. Any or all worthy Opposition teams became candidates for character assassination and a victimized, slandered and a horde of manipulation of rules of fair play. Makes one wonder if something is amiss. Appointments to the Bench, the Electoral Division and laws were amended or new ones created just to infringe on our rights to a Free and Fair Election. Henceforth to avoid a repeat, a group of honest and capable seniors shall be appointed as a team of say 10 to supervise all matters relating to appointments to the Judiciary the Bench, the ELD and to monitor Election Processes and ensure fair play and remove all acts of manipulation. 2. All accounts of the various Ministries/ Statutory Boards should be placed under review and findings of an independent panel of auditors and vetted by a newly appointed panel to vet the accounts since manipulation of our Statutes were put in place by LCY. These accounts should consider the cumulative assets of LCU and his team after people like Drs Toh Chin Chye, Lee Siew Chioh, Goh Keng Swee, S Rajaratnam and even Devan Nair were made to retire whilst LCY continued to remain in power. Curiously what was LCY' wealth status both monetarily and assets in gold, bonds or shareholdings at the time of his demise.

@@Watt-watt Come at the northside, Woodlands area, you'll see a lot of Malaysian Malay youngsters working in MNC. They'll tell you that the Malaysian Tictokers showed their salary while working in Singapore earning SGD4k+. Imagine bringing home RM16k each month by cleaning and overtime. Covid also contributed to the demand of work since many returned to their home countries and they took this opportunity to fill the role. That is why many of them flocked into Singapore. They are young and full of energy, 5years working here could save 20years of their lives and get everything they've ever wanted. Oh.. I'm a local Singaporean, worked with many foreigners on the ground floor for the past 10years with at least 5-6 companies. Its my first time in recent years seeing the booming of Malaysian Malays working in Singapore. This is my personal statistics. Edit: Grammatical Error.
