Sam Casell has paid his dues as a bench coach. As a long time Laker fan I have no problem with him as head coach. Given the other names out there. I’m sure Redick is a very smart guy. I’m sure he’ll get his opportunity someday. But Sam should be on every GM’s list with an open coaching spot.

Fact of the matter is, lebron doesnt want a hall of fame coach because he wants control and doesnt want to be held accountable. Thats why he signs of these 1st year or less successful coaches so that he can take all the credit when they win and have a scapegoat when they lose.

Stephen A used Big Perk to say what he wanted to say which is Give Sam Cassel the job because JJ ain’t “paid his dues” and I LOVE Sam Cassel since I was a kid watching him grow up. But JJ is tapped into the new age basketball philosophy. JJ Redick doesn't have the job and is already under so much scrutiny. Ask yourself this question: do you see JJ Redick patrolling the sideline for the next 10 years or he'll get back to full-time commentator at some point?
