I understand having a young QB hold down the fort until his time come but I want our defense to return to it's glory. 2017-2020. It's a huge part of why we was winning.🤔

No. We don't need another QB. What we need are better players to PROTECT the QB's we have AND add another WR to give Carr another target to throw to to replace the often injured MT.

Absolutely not. They're very high on Haener, the scenario we played out is if one of the first round graded guys falls to them in the 2nd round.

Justin Fields? He got traded for a reason. Dont include him as a guy that should have been drafted higher.

I would not draft Micheal because of age and injuries. I’m sorry having guy wait at 26 gone on 27 before the season even starts is not ideal you talking guy taking over at 29 to 30 your put right back in not having a youth movement to rebuild. I honestly think Jake was waste of pick last yr you traded a 4th this yr to jump up to draft Jake that pick was way more useful this yr. Jake has about 50/50 shot just being a back up and about 25 percent chance of ever being a starter

Injury history would be more concerning that age. Although at 24, he's definitely older for a rookie QB

He's 24. Older for a rookie QB but def younger than 27. Age is an issue but the other stuff you mentioned about injuries would be the bigger concern

Is that why the Chiefs are rocking with Blaine Gabbert as backup? Coddling Mahomes? Is that why the Bills have Kyle Allen as backup? Coddling Josh Allen? Maybe the Saints know they have their franchise guy, who historically has missed fewer games than any quarterback since 2014, and don't need to spend big money at that position. 🤷🏿‍♂️

@mdotnelson delusional? Lol, everything I said was true. As a franchise qb with the Raiders, he set multiple franchise records and elevated a horrible team well above their previous position. Mahomes has been on far better teams than Carr and had better coaching, so you're right, it's hard to compare. Then he comes to the Saints and elevates the 22nd ranked offense in points to 9th, yet "smart" fans like yourself make comments like these. 🤷🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️👍🏿

@@dl9232 EXACTLY, he set raiders records that equate to absolutely nothing outside of the raiders. If that makes him a “franchise qb” go right on ahead buddy, live in those raiders archives. That’s a low bar. He’s not the answer and smart fans like me are not as easily impressed by this guy. Just because yall were doesn’t mean we are. It’s levels. He’s below average to barely average consistently

Yes we need a quarterback. This team isn’t going to the Super Bowl and none of the off season moves have signaled we’re trying to make a roster that’s ready to go. This is clearly the start of a rebuild year, so there’s no reason not to get a guy with real starter potential in this draft

the saints will regret not taking one of these QBs in the 1st round. This is an all time deep QB draft but yet they believe in derek carr who has proven that he is NOT a winner.

I mean all Carr did was show us availability and tenacity when it came to all of his injuries. He fought through them with that weak O line and we still finished with a winning record and dominated our rivals to close out the season. Yep he's not a winner. Let's act like our rookie kicker didn't miss key field goals and let's pretend the saints only won 4 games last season.👌

@@Fox8OvertimePodcast well here’s the thing, that’s what they will do but what they SHOULD do is take a QB. if they don’t they will set this franchise back for years to come. not sure why the saints local media isn’t putting pressure on the team to do so.

@henryheisenberg wins are a product of teams built for success. Carr hasn't had the good fortune of being on one of those. Brees didn't win big until his 9th year. Out of 20 years, he only won 1 Super Bowl. Was that his ceiling? Or was that the only year he was on a team that was built to go that far? Stafford didn't win anything until his 12th year. Then, suddenly, he goes to a well-coached team, with a better offensive line and a better defense, and he magically wins a Super Bowl? He was called a stat king and not capable of "elevating a team". 🤷🏿‍♂️
